RayquazaDialgaWeird2210, please refrain from attacking my talk page like that, it's unneeded, and can result in a ban.Bowmister (talk) 21:15, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

It's not necessary to warn someone for vandalism that happened four months before, but you're not going to get banned for it. —Random832 02:38, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

DIE, Alf Schofield

If anybody happens to be looking at this page, and knows when Alf Schofield died please put in on the Alf Schofield page, that would really help.

Original research

Hello there. Please do not add original research as you did to Nor'easter and claim it is correct because you have "lived through one and you watch the weather". I have lived through many nor'easters, and I watch the weather for hours every day, and I know that nor'easters sometimes move due north, or turn west out into the Atlantic. In addition, if you want to add something to an article, bu sure there is a source to infer the fact you added. Cheers, Juliancolton The storm still blows... 14:29, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Questions

You asked (numbers added by me)...

Wikipedia is strictly buisness (mostly) which is why I am sending these messages to random people.

These listed Wikipages Need your help!

1. Whoever knows when Alf Schofield died please put in on the Alf Schofield page, that would really help.

2. Look at the Talk:Kangaroo (meat) page regarding my post- Kangaroo Species- that would really help.

3. Look at Talk:Katharine McPhee regarding her spouse under Relationships by Keane Rox.

4. For April 2007 Nor'easter well, I put in a fact and referenced it and now I don't know how to complete the reference. Click the blue 2 reference and you'll know what I mean. Then click the [2] at the top of the April 2007 Nor'easter article and complete the reference.

Spread the word for these Wikipages in need! That is all.

I don't think this is spam, but I am copying and pasting the same content on my own userpage.

Please reply, --RayquazaDialgaWeird2210 (talk) 21:43, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

It's fine for you to ask for help. These are all harder questions. I'll answer them one by one:
1. I can't find a web source to list the date of his death. Notice on the bottom the category "Date of death missing". That means that someone has identified that he should be dead (of course!), and that the date is unknown at this time. Wikipedia is not complete and may never be complete - it's no big deal. I help mainly with racing/motorsports articles. I known almost nothing about how football (soccer in the U.S.) is played, much less about players. I don't have any sources and google didn't tell me.
2. It's not important to that particular article how many Kangaroo species exist, so I removed the number. The article Kangaroo says 4 species in their genus, with many other species in their family. You're probably thinking about their family.
3. I responded on the article's talk page. The infobox in the upper right is incapable of displaying her spouse. The infobox is designed for musician with information about their musical career, so spouse was not included because it's off-topic. Readers will have to read the whole article to find it out.
4. Adding reference information is advanced, but I have lots of experience. There are templates, list {{cite web}} that are designed for this case. I manually constructed one. You can find out how someone did something by clicking on the "history" tab. Then select the beginning and ending revisions to look at. and hit "Compare selected versions". You can also find out how something works by hitting edit on the article, and looking at the code. You shouldn experiment and keep hitting "Show preview" until you get it right. First then should you hit "Save page".
I think it's cool that you ask questions instead of struggling with medium to advanced questions such as these. I hope this explanation is helpful. I appreciate that you think I'm a great Wikipedia! Remember, everyone who's been here a long time was at some point new and wondered the same questions! I am fortunate to have a computer programming background/college minor, so figuring out these types of things is natural to me. Royalbroil 23:27, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello

Thanks for the award. I fixed my page, so no worries. Cheers.--Pericles of AthensTalk 17:13, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I've never watched Grey's Anatomy. I'm not sure what you were saying. Could you perhaps word it a little differently? Cheers, SexySeaBass 04:11, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

8-inch floppy

Since you asked for my opinion here it is. The general article should have a {{mainarticle}} tag pointing to the article you wrote and its 8-inch section should be pared down to just the essentials. I would say about one third of the length of the separate article.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 22:51, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Re: I don't know how.

It looks like Equazcion (talk · contribs) has fixed it. It should be alright now. Spellcast (talk) 00:35, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Userboxes

I should have fixed them, leave me another message if I can be of assistance. Have a nice day. Tiddly-Tom 09:13, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Userboxes Response

Sorry for the delay getting back to you! I saw wikimarkup on someone else's page listed like this: {{boxboxtop}}, then {{boxboxbottom}} with the userboxes in the middle. You can see my talk page for an example. I see where other users have given you some advice as well. Let me know if there is anything else! Tnxman307 (talk) 12:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey! I'm soooooo sorry I didn't get a chance to get back to you. I'm sooo busy with school. You can ask Tom if I've been on in a while. He should vouch for me. If he doesn't well nvr mind.--CherryBlossom93 17:27, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

When you sign your prsts with four tidles how do you get your name colorful like that?--RayquazaDialgaWeird2210 (talk) 00:53, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

You click on "my preferences" at the top of the page. In the middle of the screen that comes up, you'll see "Signature:" with an input box next to it and a check box under that. Checkmark the check box, and add your signature code to the input box. Then the sig code will be replaced by your custom signature.
I hope that was understandable. Good luck with your signature, and have fun!
The Transhumanist    01:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I tried doing it but it didnt work. Sorry, Im only 11.

--RayquazaDialgaWeird2210 (talk) 02:12, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, since you asked me, you have to design your signature in HTML first, and do what The Transhumanist said to do, put the HTML sig code in your preferences and check the raw box. If you don't know HTML, I'll make a sig for you. Just tell me how you want it on my talk page. -- penubag  (talk) 03:04, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

No need to apologize. If you are smart enough to edit Wikipedia, then you can learn this easy. We'll help teach you. And away we go...

How's this:

RayquazaDialgaWeird2210

To make this your automatic signature, click "edit this page" at the top of this page, then highlight the code above and press Ctrl-C. Then paste it into the box I was talking about by first clicking on the box (with your mouse), and then pressing Ctrl-V. Make sure the raw box is checked, then click the Save box at the bottom of the page. Good luck, and have fun.
The Transhumanist    06:08, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Do you know how to highlight? That is, do you know how to select text with your mouse? If not, we'll teach you that too. The Transhumanist    06:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Of course, you may want a much more annoying signature:

RE: Image Renewal

I wonder if you know how to renew an image, like edit an Wikipedia image a little bit to make it look better and relace that image with the old one (The old one would be shown on the image page). Do you just upload the file under the same name, or is there a more complex procedure.

Asking, --RayqayzaDialgaWeird2210    20:49, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes, you just hit the Upload a new version of this file link in the "File history" section of the image's page.. —dima/talk/ 20:56, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Could you show me the image's page? I'll try and see whats going on —dima/talk/ 21:13, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
