Help Request

{{help me - helped}} I have several questions regarding improvement of the article I created, Michael C. Hudson:

1. Although I have edited two other pages that mention him, Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and Middle East Studies Association by bracketing his name so that it becomes an internal wikilink to his page, his page is still being deemed an "orphan." What should I do?

2. I have created a picture with file name Michael C. Hudson but cannot figure out how to post it as a thumbnail.

3. Upon Google searching "Michael C. Hudson," the Wikipedia article is not appearing. What can be done about this?

4. Upon doing a search within Wikipedia for "Michael Hudson" without his middle initial, a disambiguation list appears. However, it does not include my entry. How can I make sure Michael C. Hudson appears an option when his name is searched without his middle initial?

Hi, my name is Signalizing, and I'd be more than happy to answer your questions! In order:

The orphaned template isn't an automatic feature; an editor deliberately placed the template there, so that the article would receive some attention. As the page is now linked, and is no longer orphaned, I have removed the template from the page.
In the edit screen on a page, there is an image icon you can use to format the thumbnail correctly. You can also read how to do it manually at this help page.
As far as article placement goes for google searching, the key thing is patience and linking appropriate articles to yours, really.
Disambiguation pages can also be edited to include your entry. I will add the article to the list.

Thanks for uploading File:Alex Shakar.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
