New article
[edit]I saw your comment on Aboutmovies' talk page. See the entries above for how to create a new article. It is hard to writing anything the first time. But don't worry: You can't break Wikipedia by trying. Also, if you give a good enough start, other editors will identify the subject and the article will evolve and grow. Keep in mind that there is a threshold for notability, so see WP:NCORP.

[edit]Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. —EncMstr (talk) 18:52, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Oops! Sorry. You'll have to choose a new username. Having a username the same as a company gives the impression that yours is a shared account or represents the company. Shared accounts are not allowed. You can create a new username by logging out and then clicking on "Create account". —EncMstr (talk) 18:54, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- What if this account is meant to represent the company? Will I still just need to create a completely different one? Revant Optics (talk) 19:08, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- No, companies are not allowed to edit—only individuals may. This comes from the 5 Pillars for neutrality, verifiability, and our licensing of contributions. —EncMstr (talk) 19:34, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks for the heads up. I don't think we plan on editing, but this is definitely good to know. I will create a personal account and be sure to post anything on talk boards from there. Appreciate it! Revant Optics (talk) 19:48, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Also, just to clarify. Should I repost this to Aboutmovies account or will they be able to see it. It looks like to me that it is still posted, but wanted to be sure we could still get in contact. Thanks! KKRevant (talk) 19:52, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Everything is visible to the world. @Aboutmovies: is a very experienced editor. He will figure it out. —EncMstr (talk) 19:56, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- Probably could've just assumed that! haha. Thanks a ton for all your help! KKRevant (talk) 19:57, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
