[edit]Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Canola. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. sciencewatcher (talk) 21:37, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Please see WP:TLDR, WP:MEDRS, WP:OR, WP:SYNTH, WP:PSTS, WP:COAT and WP:NPOV. Your edits to canola at least are inappropriate. WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules:simple/complex 23:20, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
- Also WP:CONSENSUS - multiple editors have stated your edits are inappropriate. You need to stop reverting and start listening, otherwise you could be blocked for edit warring. Please note the three revert rule. WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules:simple/complex 23:24, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Canola. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. you are currently at 3 reverts within 24 hours - one more and you will have broken 3RR sciencewatcher (talk) 01:08, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
User wikipedian for template
[edit]Hi,
I noticed that your user page shows you have been on wikipedia for exactly the same length of time as me, which seemed odd. On further investigation I discovered that I hadn't actually used the template correctly - it will always display "4 years, 10 months and 6 days". I think you copied your user page from mine (which isn't a problem), but I just thought I'd let you know.
I've just removed the template from my page, but if you want to use it you just need to enter the exact year, month and day that you started editing. The documentation is [here. --sciencewatcher (talk) 15:55, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- RiceMilk> Yes, you are correct in your deduction, and thanks for the heads up.
