Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, especially what you did for Fansite. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Themfromspace (talk) 09:04, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} what do you do if you cannot edit or delete something in the archive section? Righteoussister (talk) 10:31, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please tell us which page(s) you are talking about so we can help you better. Regards SoWhy 10:34, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
the page i was talking about is Wikipedia:Editor assistance/Requests/Archive 43. Righteoussister (talk) 09:08, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I assume you refer to the section "David Van Day, Dollar (band) and Thereza Bazar webpages on your website" on that archive? Please explain what and especially why you want to remove content from that archive (unless there is a good reason to do it, archives should not be changed) and then reinstate the {{helpme}} template. Regards SoWhy 09:32, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} the reason i want to remove content from the archive David Van Day, Dollar (band) and Thereza Bazar webpages on your website is because since then my husband and i have found-out those websites are infact official also there is a dispute about it on here and various other websites between me and my husband and other people so i would like the matter closed. Righteoussister (talk) 15:22, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're asking to delete an archive? I'm sorry, but those are kept for future reference to people who might be familiar with the page - under most normal circumstances, they're not deleted. Sorry, but if there's any other way I can help, let me know. Fleetflame · whack! whack! · 17:52, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} isn't there anyway of editing the content on the archive David Van Day, Dollar (band) and Thereza Bazar webpages on your website on any of the bits i put about it? me and my husband are being cyberbullied on a few websites about this and would like the matter resolved as soon as possible.Righteoussister (talk) 08:20, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I guess my help doesn't really relate to Wikipedia (though, I think the answer is probably no) but that link is like, really really obscure and... I don't know the band or the person you're referring to. I don't think you'll be getting much harassment from it, so perhaps just block the people who are currently harassing you over the matter? If it's via e-mail just mark their e-mail as unsafe and it will go straight to your junk, block on MSN, and so on you know it's pretty easy to block people in most Internet sites. So that's my suggestion :)
After all, if these people are harassing you over some post (I haven't actually read it that much, as it's really too obscure for me to even understand what's going on), I don't think removing it will remove the harassment since as the saying goes, "the damage has already been done", the people will just say, "you said this" or whatever, and then show you a screenshot of it if you deny it kind of deal. Anyways, good luck Avalik (talk) 08:53, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize, but archives are generally not modified unless they meet certain criterion, in which case they are suppressed. If you feel you meet these criterion, feel free to file an oversight request. Have a nice day, ContinueWithCaution (talk) 13:17, 27 November 2009 (UTC).[reply]

{{helpme}} But how would i file an oversight request? Righteoussister (talk) 18:49, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
