Speedy deletion nomination of User:RonnieGandhi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:RonnieGandhi, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Hello, I'm Rjjiii. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. User pages are not intended for self-promotion. Rjjiii (talk) 07:43, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself, your interests and goals as they relate to editing Wikipedia, as well as disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:
- an encyclopedia article (and should not be styled to look like one)
- a workspace for a draft article
- a personal website, blog, or social media site
- a space for self-promotion or other advertising
- a CV, resumé or lengthy autobiography
The user page guidelines have additional information on what is and what is not considered acceptable content. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 07:51, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --RonnieGandhi (talk) 07:54, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Everything mentioned here is true and since it is a user page I should be allowed share things about my life, if someone is not interested or wants to consider it as promotion then they can choose not to visit, but I have 500k impressions across social media platforms and my followers deserve this page
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with articles about notable people, places, events and ideas. It's not a directory for people who have a lot of social media followers. This is not a site to promote yourself to your "fans" and no one deserves an article on this project. You have to demonstrate notability as Wikipedia understands it. We have deleted articles of people who have millions of followers or subscribers on social media who were not considered notable, most people aren't.
- If you have questions about editing on Wikipedia or what is considered "notable", please bring them to the Teahouse where editors can help address your questions. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 08:15, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, RonnieGandhi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 08:11, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. You evidently have a very high opinion of yourself, but Wikipedia is not the place to tell the world how wonderful you think you are. That is not what Wikipedia is for.
