Wikipedia Assignment
[edit]Hey there! I just wanted to check in and see how things were going with your Wikipedia project. I noticed that you've made a few small changes to the Media richness theory article, but not really any major revisions. I didn't see anything in your sandbox either, although I know you might have been working in a different space that I can't immediately see. Anyways, I know the midterm is due in a couple weeks and just wanted to make sure you were on track and had everything you needed to get this done! Let me know if I can help with anything, including technical issues, generating some ideas for improving your article, or just some general review/feedback about what you're working on. Media Richness Theory
[edit]Hi! Just checking in to see how things are going. Remember you can connect to other pages within Wikipedia as an examples to represent types of richness like video conferencing technology or email. There are also considerable areas of research that consider media richness theory as a building point that you might use as you are developing the reach of the theory . Turnj (talk) 11:43, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Thanks- I am building the page out more today and your suggestions are helpful! I am also planning on adding a section on media richness and its relation to new media, as email, text, and communicating via social networks have become more common. RoxanaK (talk) 19:01, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Media Richness Theory Feedback Request

Hello, I'm looking for feedback on the changes I have made so far to the Media richness theory page, which I am updating for a course assignment. If you have any comments on my writing style or appropriateness of sources, etc, relating to Wikipedia please let me know. RoxanaK (talk) 19:53, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- OK. I can't check out the sources, but so long as you are sure that you haven't copied anything without putting it in quotes and acknowledging it (and that includes close paraphrases), things look good to me. (One author suffers from a name that may be not noticeable in the USA, but has a meaning of 'stupid' in the UK...) Content looks to be written in an encyclopaedically neutral way. It may not be in the works cited, but I was surprised to see no mention of emoticons giving an extra richness to written communication, enabling comedy, irony and sarcasm to be understood. All in all, :) Peridon (talk) 09:23, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
