Cryoglobulinaemina[edit]

Hi, thanks for cryoglobulinaemina! Could perhaps do with a source (e.g. recent review in a core clinical journal), but otherwise very comprehensive. Any reason why you left out hepatitis C as a cause for CG II?

Anyway, please have a look at the manual of style for some style conventions. Also, I'm not sure what your plans are with Image:carotid.jpg - we rarely use images to put text on pages, and I doubt this should be an exception.

All us medical folk hang out on Wikipedia:WikiProject Clinical medicine. We have a collaborative effort every now and then and we do some quack-bashing when things get boring. Please join. JFW | T@lk 12:47, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violations[edit]

I have found that some of your edits seem to be copy and pasted from other websites. Unless you are the original writer of these articles, you should know (following from template):

Image copyright problem with Image:Marysquad.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Marysquad.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 23:02, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Salvatorstower.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 23:06, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem: Edinburgh College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Edinburgh College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.mvm.ed.ac.uk/history/index.htm, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Edinburgh College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Edinburgh College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Vclaw 14:40, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Edmed.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Edmed.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:44, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Elvis McGonagall[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Elvis McGonagall, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

unreferenced, nothing to show notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Rutigor! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 937 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. John Savill - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Elvis McGonagall - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

License tagging for File:PioneerSx434.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PioneerSx434.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:08, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Pioneer SX-434 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable product.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 06:29, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Butescarf.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
