Writing an article about yourself[edit]
A bit of clarification is in order here. While it is perfectly acceptable to have your own user page with basic biographical information, writing an article about yourself on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged. Wikipedia is not a web hosting service or social media site. In order to have an article, a person mus meet the notability guidelines for people, and any article about a living person must be supported by reliable sources. Thank you.
