Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Ram Vilas Paswan. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. J.delanoygabsadds 22:26, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Samathawiki thank you for leavong a message on my talk page.

Your addition of the links was inappropriate because you added them yourself when you are connected to the site and all your edits were to push this external site. By Wikipedia's definition that isn't simply promotion it is spamming. It is not appropriate for you to use Wikipedia to draw viewers to your site - even if your organization's goal is noble, your actions disrupt Wikipedia's mission to build an neutral GFDL encyclopedia. Even if someone unconnected with the site had added the links they would still be inappropriate because they were to blogs and other non-authoritative content which are sites we avoid linking to. The links above point you to our guidelines which specify both these points.

Wikipedia is not a link repository. We are not trying to provide a large list of other resources, we are trying to build encyclopedic information. Editors whose only edits are to add links to an external site they are connected with do little to help Wikipedia meet its goals.

This is your final warning. If you continue to spam wikipedia you will be blocked from editing. Persistent spammers may find their links blacklisted as well, preventing the sites from being added to any Wikipedia page by anyone. -- SiobhanHansa 15:36, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I really cannot add anything to what SiobhanHansa has said, as s/he pretty much covered everything. J.delanoygabsadds 15:46, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
