Speedy deletion nomination of File:J.D. Scholten Headshot.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:J.D. Scholten Headshot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Lou McDonald[edit]

I have moved this back to draft space, as it is not ready for mainspace. As I explained on the draft before, WP:NPOLITICIAN has not been met, nor even close. As is, the only references in the article are to an article written by the subject themselves in which they are talking about someone else. This is a primary sources and of no use in establishing notability. The second source is to election results for the local election. This source to is not useful for establishing notability. Please please WP:NPOLITICIAN. The Polk County Water District office is not a "international, national, or (for countries with federal or similar systems of government) state/province–wide office". It's a local office, and nothing more. The second bullet their indicates "Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage.", which has not been established here. A head of a water board is not a major figure, and no secondary sources have been supplied indicating any semblance of notability. Even if such sources were found and were only local news outlets (which I suspect, given the very localized nature of the position), it would not establish notability.
