I am not this user you are talking about. I arrived in Wikipedia when I first made an edit on like SpongeBob SquarePants special episode pages or Mafia I can't remember though. 68.194.240.12 (talk) 20:45, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

List of Puerto Ricans

Now, it sounds fine, your rephrasing is perfect. Tony the Marine (talk) 20:16, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, T. ScottyBerg (talk) 20:25, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Thank you!

For trying to remind me I am above this nonsense. Best wishes!--MONGO 02:50, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, it's just rollback. A lot of trouble would be avoided if rollback were a hidden tool, usable only via Huggle. ScottyBerg (talk) 11:50, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

KEGL

There has been no announced that The Russ Martin Show has been cancelled and KEGL is flipping to Country as 97.1 The Bull.

It's posted as part of a hate group against the RMS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.201.216.50 (talk) 18:36, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

OK I've reverted. In the future please explain your edit in the edit summary. ScottyBerg (talk) 18:39, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

So many good faiths in one edit summary. :-) I wish other editors were as civil as you.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:22, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Heh. Twinkle encourages good faith, as should we all. ScottyBerg (talk) 17:31, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

It appears to be original research. Do you have any sources indicating that only those four players play abroad? ScottyBerg (talk) 17:40, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

You may want to monitor the AfD page and also place your response there. ScottyBerg (talk) 18:05, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Why don't you post your thoughts on the AfD page? ScottyBerg (talk) 18:27, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Help needed

Are you perhaps an admin? Because I could really need some help right now with my first two articles immediately nominated for deletion: CotD and Triangle Studios. Especially in the last case this is very weird because it is a translation of the Dutch wikipedia article and Triangle Studios is the largest Dutch game studio for Nintendo DS games. I would like to ask for the help of an admin because otherwise I fear the article might end up getting deleted without many people noticing. Improving the article might also be a good thing, as it is far from perfect, I fear. Please, could you help me out here? Mythic Writerlord (talk) 15:14, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

No, not an administrator but I will look at those articles. ScottyBerg (talk) 15:16, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
Thank you very much, most appreciated. Mythic Writerlord (talk) 15:17, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
The articles have been nominated for apparently lacking notability. I know very little about the subject matter. I suggest that the best way to proceed is to add in-line citations indicating where you obtained the information that you used to create the article. That will make it clearer as to whether the articles meet the general notability guidelines. They are found at WP:GNG. Hope this helps. ScottyBerg (talk) 15:20, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
I have provided the article with two sources and four references, if that is what you are refering to. The nomination page is located here, by the way. Currently two votes are delete and one is keep. A discussion if also going on there, perhaps a discussion in which you would be willing to participate, having read the pages and the deletion request entry I linked to? Mythic Writerlord (talk) 15:24, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
I'll take a look again at the AfD discussion. Frankly, from what I saw, I'm not sure I necessarily would oppose deletion. I usually don't join deletion discussions unless I have some slight familiarity with the subject matter. ScottyBerg (talk) 16:41, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
That's a shame then, very sorry to hear this. It is a very large project, on a scale that is beyond anything ever seen before in the gaming industry. Two years of research to realistically recreate medieval Western Europe precceeded the making of the game, which is an absolute record. And it is not the first article to get an article before the release... Far from it!

Take a look at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, to name one prominent example of this. The game is not expected to be released untill November 2011 yet the article was created as early as 2010. CotD is well-sourced and definetely notable in more then just one way. It may not be as well known as some other games-in-progress but it definetely is a big project. I have put too much time in the article to see it be deleted without trying my best to keep it. ;-) Mythic Writerlord (talk) 19:14, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

I really have no expertise in this subject matter, sorry. I appreciate your contacting me, and am flattered that you think that I have some kind of influence over the process, when I don't. I know you've worked hard on these articles and are frustrated when your articles are nominated for deletion, so please don't be discouraged. ScottyBerg (talk) 01:20, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Jose Baez

Hello ScottyBerg. When you were examining the Jose Baez article earlier, did you come across anything in your readings of the sources to indicate that Mr. Baez is Puerto Rican? We know he wasn't born in Puerto Rico, but I'm trying to figure out if there is any sourcing to indicate that he is Puerto Rican himself (i.e., if at least one or both of his parents were born there or have PR citizenship, etc). Thanks, AzureCitizen (talk) 01:14, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

There was a conflict of sourcing. He told Barbara Walters that he was born in New York, while other sources indicated he was born in Puerto Rico. There was an extensive discussion on that. I think the general feeling, virtually unanimously, was that we had better take his word for it, and that there was no reason to disbelieve him. ScottyBerg (talk) 01:17, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Roger that... tracking with you there... I lead the effort to get that sorted out. Aside from the place of birth, however, I'm wondering if there is any sourcing to indicate that Jose Baez considers himself Puerto Rican, and hence a "Puerto Rican lawyer", as that category has been added to the bottom of the article, then removed, then re-added. I posted a comment on the bottom of the Talk Page about it almost two weeks ago now but nobody has responded. Any ideas? AzureCitizen (talk) 01:20, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
My immediate reaction is that there is no problem to calling him Puerto Rican, as he is of Puerto Rican parentage/ancestry. It seems to be common practice to utilize that description for people of Puerto Rican parentage. I imagine it would depend what is he ordinary practice for that category. ScottyBerg (talk) 01:24, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Agreed - and if one of his parents is Puerto Rican, then he is considered Puerto Rican - I was just trying to determine if you'd seen anything in the sourcing that actually indicated one of his parents was Puerto Rican, as I hadn't seen it. Thanks for your two cents... AzureCitizen (talk) 01:26, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
None that I recall, sorry. You may get better results from other editors more actively involved in the editing. I was more narrowly focused on the birthplace issue. ScottyBerg (talk) 01:28, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
