If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Build A Workout requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cind.amuse 17:36, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The page Build a workout has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. A tag has been placed on Build a workout, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

You need to read the messages above. There are all sorts of problems here.

  • You did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts or show that this business meets the notability guidelines.
  • launched January 1, 2011 — since it is not yet operating, unlikely to meet the above criteria
  • This is an encyclopaedia, which needs neutral content, not spam. The whole "article" is basically an advertisement, but here are some examples
  • website is linked in text, should be an external link.
  • lots of stuffed bolded, capitalised or in big tags as per adverts
  • The programs that they offer are tailored to meet the needs of any age, fitness level, and gender. Whether you want to lose weight, maintain weight, or gain weight. Build A Workout's programs are designed to fit your needs, whether you are planning on working out at home (no equipment necessary) or in a gym. — pure spam
  • These programs are scientifically and mathematically proven to work effectively and efficiently. — so where are the links to the scientific papers to verify this claim?
  • Dan Seavey... — it is now wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have references
  • community members eagerly sought out his programs. Dan’s strong community ties and result-driven programs helped make Build A Workout a thriving, well respected business during its first year of operation. — unsourced spam
  • It is our mission to reach out to those who are looking to make healthy transformations, and do it in the most efficient way possible. Dan and his educated and experienced team of professionals are there to help you! — pure spam
