Image changes

[edit]

Hi, Setabepiw3547747. In the future, will you consider discussing image changes before implementing them? By this, I mean first proposing the change on the article take page and waiting a few days for editors to weigh in. I state this because images, especially images at controversial or otherwise contentious articles, have often been discussed before. In some cases, WP:Consensus is for no image; in other cases, WP:Consensus is for an existing image. A new discussion on such matters can help assess new consensus and prevent WP:Edit warring. Of course, it's fine to be WP:Bold, but discussion first is often a good route to take. If the image change is unlikely to be contested, as is the case with many non-contentious articles, then I would state that proposing the change on the talk page first is not necessary. Of course, I could see that.Setabepiw3547747 (talk) 06:28, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Good. I see that your second edit with this account did just that. I am far from under the impression that you are new to editing here, but I decided that I would focus on the image matter since it appears that you are mainly focusing on images at this point in time and have had some push-back on images. Also, take it easy on the religious and mythology images as lead images. People can easily come to the conclusion that you are pushing a religious POV across articles. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 11:34, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Undertale does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. I know you've been using this edit summary for some of your edits, but I'd like to suggest giving yourself a reminder. It really helps for us to know what has been changed before we review the edit. Thank you. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 02:14, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. My last edit summary does not have anything because I did not see this yet, pardon please.Setabepiw3547747 (talk) 02:18, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
