Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Img bst10.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Img bst10.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:24, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason such a red link should be removed. Red links exist for a reason. Just because an article does not exist currently does not mean it will never exist at all. Just because his article isn't here now, doesn't mean it won't be in the future. Stop removing the red link unless you have a decent reason for it.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:44, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pfff... don't order me around, asshole. Asking me as such would be sufficient. I didn't know any of this. ---SilentRAGE! 10:54, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And while we're at it... get real. Do you really think that somehow, magically, Nikolai will do so well in Power Rangers that he will be notable enough for Wikipedia? That red link will be there for years, if not forever, if I didn't remove it. So I had a DAMN good reason to remove it. ---SilentRAGE! 10:58, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me, I did not deserve any of those comments. It's simple; once he's in Power Rangers, he's considered notable as an actor in an internationally broadcast television series. There is no reason to remove any red links, as Wikipedia does not have limits and you do not decide who is and who is not notable. We have policies that determine this, and you do not interpret them.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:31, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
SilentRage, just calm down, nothing to get hostile over. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 21:44, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, you did deserve them. For ordering me around. You could have just explained that to me, yet you're playing the victim here. What are you, some sort of Jewish supremacist? Get over yourself. ---SilentRAGE! 07:15, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

None of this incivility or blanking of comments is warranted in any way.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:01, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And what about your incivility? You just keep ignoring the things I accuse you of. Do you really think that anyone reading this is going to think that you're in the right? Of course not, because you think you do nothing wrong, when you came in here, bossed me around, and when I DEFENDED MYSELF, you played the victim. Pathetic. Get over yourself! ---SilentRAGE! 15:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Surnames, et al

[edit]

Those surnames as well as R.J.'s full name have existed on the various official websites. And these are really inconsequential to reference on the main articles.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:14, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Everything has to be referenced. ---SilentRAGE! 07:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message

[edit]

It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving.
In response, this message is being sent to all editors listed in Category:WikiProject Professional wrestling participants to say that anyone who does not list their name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active before May 16 will be automatically listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, and will no longer receive the newsletter or any notification of it. If you are added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, please feel free to remove your name if you desire.
If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter as normal, please add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active. If you simply wish to receive notification of a new issue, but not have the full newsletter delivered to your talk page, please add your name to the notification only list.
If you have any queries please contact me at my talk page or leave a message at WT:PW. Thank you for your co-operation. ♥NiciVampireHeart00:36, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Img BST2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:21, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Rdwcbol.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Rdwcbol.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:13, 14 March 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sven Manguard Wha? 16:13, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
