March 2024[edit]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Emily Atack. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Funnyfarmofdoom (talk to me) 22:28, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Bangor railway station (Northern Ireland). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Patient Zerotalk 00:17, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Crawfordsburn. 🇺🇲JayCubby✡ plz edit my user pg! Talk 02:25, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Emily Atack. Skynxnex (talk) 04:42, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Email[edit]

I removed your edit because the doc wasn't shared and I highly doubt the authenticity of a random google doc. See Wikipedia:RS. 🇺🇲JayCubby✡ plz edit my user pg! Talk 03:01, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

annd now I've blocked you for emailing me. Cheers! 🇺🇲JayCubby✡ plz edit my user pg! Talk 11:32, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

March 2024[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ad Orientem (talk) 15:02, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Bangor, County Down, you may be blocked from editing. -- ferret (talk) 16:58, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Ad Orientem More unsourced editing here. -- ferret (talk) 16:58, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are my other edits OK? I don't want to get banned again. Simon1324436 (talk) 17:09, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. That was the Time Capsule wasn't it? i have added sources to all of my other edits. That was my only mistake. Simon1324436 (talk) 17:07, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please be careful. ALL claims of fact must be cited to a reliable source. The fact that you have been previously blocked for this issue means there is not likely to be a lot of tolerance for this going forward. -Ad Orientem (talk) 18:53, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I know. Glad I only made one mistake. Simon1324436 (talk) 22:01, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just to be clear, all of my other edits are okay? I have included as much up to date information as I could gather. Simon1324436 (talk) 01:06, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am paying close attention to Emily Atack's page, she is due to give birth any day now and I want to be the first to edit her page to show this. Simon1324436 (talk) 15:07, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your Email[edit]

I have received your email and reviewed your editing history. You have repeatedly edited articles in a disruptive manner. This includes removing large blocks of sourced information w/o WP:CONSENSUS. This edit looks like naked vandalism to me. Your talk page shows a wall of messages and warnings, none of which appear to have gotten a reply. In fact, looking at your contrib log, all but a handful of your edits have been reverted. You are going to have to convince me that you understand what you did wrong and explain what exactly it is that you intend to do here before I am prepared to consider any unblock request. -Ad Orientem (talk) 18:48, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please respond here on your talk page, not via email. With rare exceptions, discussions concerning administrator actions should be conducted openly. I am prepared to reduce your block to 1 week. During this time, I would like you to read some of our community guidelines specifically Help:Introduction, WP:CITE, WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:CONSENSUS. I am also going to append a template below this message which has a large number of links that you can refer to in order to help you understand how things are done here. It is very important that if your edits are being reverted that you find out why, so that you don't keep making the same mistakes. If someone leaves a message on your talk page, ignoring it is rarely a good idea. If you are getting messages telling you that you are doing something wrong, you need to find out why. Generally, when a message is left on your talk page, that is where the discussion should take place. If you are pinged to a conversation on an article talk page, then that is where you want to go. I am cutting you some slack here, but there is unlikely to be a lot of tolerance for future disruption, so please take the time to read the linked policies and guidelines. I have reset your block which will now expire one week from today. -Ad Orientem (talk) 21:12, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for doing this and again, sorry if I was causing a disturbance. I am still trying to figure things out here. Simon1324436 (talk) 21:25, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. Happy editing (in one week). -Ad Orientem (talk) 21:29, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Once I can resume editing, I am planning to make a much needed to the Helen's bay train station page and I have some questions about that which I will ask you once the time comes. Simon1324436 (talk) 17:12, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. However, you may get a faster response at the WP:Help Desk. -Ad Orientem (talk) 00:50, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Simon1324436 (talk) 01:07, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can I edit yet? Simon1324436 (talk) 02:43, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
just to let you know, I have updated the page on Helens's Bay railway station. Simon1324436 (talk) 13:06, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
