How you can help

Hi there. I saw you created a new article, Jared Breeze. The problem is that it was completely unsourced and basically a slightly rephrased version of his IMDb profile. That presents two problems for Wikipedia. First, close paraphrasing skirts issues of copyright infringement. Even if you were the one who wrote the biography on the IMDb, Wikipedia would still possibly be infringing on the IMDb's rights, and you would need to release the copyright to what you're written. Second, unsourced biographies are forbidden on Wikipedia. All biographies of living people on Wikipedia must contain at least one citation to a reliable source, and, furthermore, we have rather stringent rules on what can be said in a biographical article. This is primarily to protect the subjects of our articles, but also to prevent people from including promotional content, gossip, or minutiae. I rewrote the article according to a few sources that I found on Google. Maybe you can find even more. But I'd ask that you don't re-add content sourced to the IMDb itself, as we don't consider that a reliable source. I did a few searches online, and I couldn't validate much of what was written there, such as the Jimmy Kimmel anecdote. Unfortunately, even writing from personal experience isn't really enough, as Wikipedia requires verification from reliable sources. I know all this must seem very confusing and bureaucratic. Let me know if I can help; you can leave a message on my talk page, or you could request help at the tea house, a forum for new users on Wikipedia.
