Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sisz. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Flapjacktastic (talk) 15:39, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

==Speedy deletion nomination of Huawei Honor 5A==

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Huawei Honor 5A requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 06:41, 27 February 2019 (UTC)MrZINE (talk)

Conflicts of Interest

[edit]

Dear Sisz, Many thanks for your help in making Wikipedia more useful by adding new articles. Flapjacktastic had pointed out Wikipedia's rules about conflicted or possibly paid editing. The community would appreciate your confirmation that you are not related to Huawei, its marketing or pr agents, or have been asked by someone to create articles about Huawei products. The purpose of Wikipedia is not to be a product catalog. Your support is much appreciated. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 09:05, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

28 articles reviewed

[edit]

Hi Sisz!

I have reviewed 28 articles you have recently written. They were all about specific products listed at Honor (brand)#Products. Unfortunately, as most of these articles were little more than a specification sheet, they appear to fail the product notability guideline due to a lack of major reviews or evidence of a significant impact on the field of mobile telephony. I have therefore turned the articles into redirects which point to the aforementioned list article. Some of the Honor products listed there do meet the above notability guideline; so if you plan on re-instating these articles I would highly advise you cite reliable reviews. From the looks of it, you're highly interested in this particular company's products, so I would also advise using the Articles for Creation process.

Many thanks,

SITH (talk) 14:09, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Huawei Honor X1 moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Huawei Honor X1, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Huawei Honor X1

[edit]

Hello, Sisz. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Huawei Honor X1".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 19:32, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
