Does a Narrow Gauge Template Exist? Should we expand SG Template?
I'm starting to have some lines that could use a NG template, do you know if we have one? Also, do you see a need to expand the template with other useful factual summaries such as miles of road operated (as of a certain date), type of traffic (passengers, mine, logging, etc.) or type of carrier (i.e. Common Carrier, Class I, etc.), major named trains, Successor/Predecessor railroads. ECCF railways
Hullo. Could you look in the source for Eau Claire-Chippewa Falls metropolitan area#Transportation at the section I've written there for "Railways"? I know there are still freight trains that run through both Eau Claire/Altoona and Chippewa Falls (although I think all the lines that run between EC and CF have long since been decommissioned...I know I haven't had to wait at any of the crossings for years...) ... The only reference I have is the DeLorme Wisc. Atlas & Gazetteer, which was probably already horribly out of date when I got it back in 1991 already. According to that atlas, the SOO serves Chippewa and C&NW serves EC/Altoona. The old train line that ran from downtown EC down along the Chippewa R. to Durand (and probably down to Nelson, I would guess), is so long abandoned that when I was in HS already it was being turned into the Chippewa River Trail. I'm assuming you have more current and reliable sources, and would appreciate it if you could fill in the blanks there. Cheers, Tomertalk 05:40, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

SP&S 700 and OR&N 197
Hi.. I added links in the SP 4449 article to open edits of the SP&S 700 and OR&N 197. I'm currently a member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. I *intend* on at least partially filling in those blank edit pages with info on both of these engines. I have access to Brooklyn Roundhouse, where all three engines are located and I have personal photographs and info to add. I also have a short AVI file of the SP4449 under steam this past Christmas season running excursions, but I'm not sure how to add it or if it's even appropriate (nearly 30Meg in size). --Jerry (Talk) 14:33, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

SP&S 700 article
I've *finally* gotten around to starting an article on the SP&S 700. My time is kind of limited due to work, but I'm going to keep plugging along at it. I'd appreciate comments as it starts filling out.

Hi Slambo, JackLumber here. Since the signal box page needed cleanup I just split it into signal box for Britain and interlocking tower for North America. Now we have two articles, but the whole thing is clearer IMO. PLEASE check for possible blunders on the interlocking tower page, I am kind of a layman (railfan, but layman...) Hi, you may see the post I left on the Wikiproject trains talk page, but I wanted to leave a personal note for you to ask if you could help fix up Wigwag as you've got some great FA experience under your belt. I'd try, but I know so little about the topic I'm not sure I could help. If you could help that would be great, or recruit someone else that you know could do it well. I've gone and listed out the concerns that were raised in two recent WP:FARC attempts on the article's talk page to hopefull aid in getting the article raised to current FA standards.
