Don't worry, it's cool. So, a pilot-to-be, eh? Let me tell you, it's a rough business. I've been reading Hard Landing: The Epic Contest for Power and Profits That Plunged the Airlines into Chaos by Thomas Petzinger. I'm surprised the airlines ever made any profits. I have a friend who flies for Acey out of H.J. It's kinda rough being a pilot for the first few years.. really low pay. But if you like flying, then by all means go for it... --BetaCentauri 01:34, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Former routes
There's another discussion about it at Talk:San Francisco International Airport#Former routes removed, so I invite you to give your opinion on whether airport articles should have former route information. (I see you've commented on it in the past.) Thanks --Matt 12:01, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I saw you started removing these from some of the sites. I'm going through to help you now (and I see a likely backlash from some unfortunately). What do you think of the section at SAN? It's rather large so I didn't feel right deleting it, but also looks very sloppy. Just wanted to see what you thought. NW036 03:03, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Edit Summaries
Hey Sox, one thing I'd appreciate would be if you made more consistent use of edit summaries. For instance why did you make this edit? I know it sometimes seems like a pain, but as a fellow editor on some of the same topics, I always appreciate the insight into what other editors are thinking.. Cheers! —Cliffb 02:22, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
AirTran @ MLI
Just an FYI, AirTran does use gate B8 occasionally. Mostly it is in the case of an overlap of the afternoon Orlando and Atlanta flight. Also, it will be used all of the time with the two overnights when the Las Vegas flight starts.

NWA/SEA
Can you point me to where it was decided that SEA is not an NWA focus city? I want to remove it from the NWA page, but would like to have proof. Thanks! NW036 04:29, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Renomination for Chicago Midway International Airport
Hello Sox23, I have recently renominated Midway Airport for GA Status. It now meets all the GA Criteria. Marcusmax 00:45, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- If you could get those pictures it would be great. We have done alot with the Midway Airport article hopefully it will pay off. Marcusmax 00:56, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Wow! The pictures look great and thanks for fixing some of the refrences. Marcusmax 01:10, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Midway has been put on hold but if changes are made soon it will become a GA. Marcusmax 01:30, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am the reviewer for the Midway Airport article, and would like to ask whether you need an extension on the hold for the GA nomination, as it will expire in a day. Your recent work towards the article is good, but it still needs more work before being passed. Let me know on my talk page by the end of tomorrow if you do want an extension. Zeus1234 22:13, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- I am extending the hold and have written down what needs to be done on the article's talk page. Zeus1234 00:37, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I see that someone reverted your deletion of the table. Do you want me to delete it? Zeus1234 03:50, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't like the the fact that the table still duplicated the two December 8th incidents, so I got rid of it myself. I'll pass the article in a day if no one disagrees with my edit. Otherwise, we will have to come to another solution. Zeus1234 04:54, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair Use
You can probably read about that at WP:Fair use. A fair use claim means that you are claiming the fair use of a copyrighted something. For instance, I claimed fair use on the copyrighted image Image:Fluorescence_in_various_sized_CdSe_quantum_dots.png [Mac Δαvιs] ❖ 01:14, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, sorry if I messed you up or caused you any confusion when you were editing the Chicago Midway International Airport article. [Mac Δαvιs] ❖ 01:16, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Focus City
I was the person that added that Omaha was a Midwest Airlines focus city. It is clearly stated "Routes operated by Midwest Airlines that will carry the "NW" Northwest code are flights that connect at Midwest's Milwaukee and Kansas City hubs, as well as Omaha -- a Midwest focus city." This is from a press release at http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=88626&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1003803&highlight= please refer to the company's announcements before you fly off the handle. Thanks,
Dan

Fair use rationale for Image:SkyValueLogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SkyValueLogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:ATA_Route_Map.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:ATA_Route_Map.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 00:00, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
ATA Photos
Hi Remember the dot-
I have recieved permission from the authors of both [Image:ATA 25th Anniversary.jpg] and [Image:ATA 757-300 by Justin Cederholm.jpg] via e-mail stating that I can use this on wikipedia...I don't know what else I need. However I will be on vacation until Saturday June 16 so I will not be able to respond. Sox23 17:34, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission probably has the answers you need. Essentially, you need to get the photographer to send an e-mail to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org with a statement such as "I authorize the redistribution of 'ATA 757-300 by Justin Cederholm.jpg' under the terms of the GFDL." —Remember the dot (talk) 19:39, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello
Hello, I like the new pictures you put on the Tucson Airport page. Im the one who created the terminal map and route map on the page. I was wondering if you have or could get any pictures of the inside of the terminal like ticketing/concourses because I never see any anywhere...
Also, does United do all the ground handling (including United Express) at O'Hare?

Tucson Airport / AeroLitoral
Thanks for the info, Im going out of Phoenix this year for my summer trip so I won't be able to take any shots of the renovations and, as you said, it's a mess right now. I might be flying out of TUS in September or October using my AAdvantage Award ticket so I might be able to get some then if it isn't too bad.
Also, I heard that Aeromexico is changing AeroLitoral's name to Aeromexico Connect soon but I don't know exactly when they are planning to do this.
Mason (MasonJ0890)
BTW, I updated the Terminal Map to include all 7 rental car companies and changed a couple things.
United TUS-IAD
Hey, I wasn't sure if the TUS-IAD flight was just being dropped back to seasonally or if it was gone for good. Im planning on making a better map anyway so ill take off that route.

Re:Order Added
I think that column is what order Southwest started service to that airport. (Dallas first, San Francisco last) I'm not completely sure though, since I didn't add the chart. --Michael Greiner 23:46, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

US Airways at Pittsburgh
Hey, can we officially say that Pittsburgh is no longer a hub in anyway for US Airways and that its just another focus city? or do we just keep it as a secondary hub?
Mason
Profile
whoops! I guess there was a couple things I needed to fix. I took bits and pieces from lots of profiles because im not too great at the HTML codes and stuff. Thanks for changing that for me!
Mason

How did you get that map of routes you've flown on your profile?
