This is so frustrating. Some user insists on editing this page under the section of VIRUSfighter. This user “claims” that the product has something to do with an old malware under the same name that once existed and maybe was an attack against us or who knows. The fact is that the product VIRUSfighter has nothing to do with the malware VirusFighter. Some Lithuanian anti-male company once wrote about this malware, and suddenly this user / editor in here thinks it’s the same product. I have written to the Lithuanian company 2-spyware.com so many times and tried to post on their board, but they never reply. For all I know, they could be the one who made the malware VirusFighter

Does anybody have an idea what I can do about this ? I have re-edited this section several times, but the “user/editor” just changes it right back.

Thank you for any advice

If you can provide a CITATION proving your claim that would help immensely. Otherwise there is little proof the your claim. If true, it is unfortunate that your name has been sullied by an impostor program. As a side note, as a principal of the SpamFighter company, it is quite inappropriate for you to be editing the article about your own product. Please see WP:COI. Thank you for your reply, I do appriciate that !

First, How can I prove this since 2-spyware.com do not provide any email address or phone No. on their site that works. They are just hiding ? I have written Webmaster and the info box. The webmaster mail came back with "mail could not be delivered", the Info mail was never responded to. I have made several submissions on their forum that has never been accepted. Making a claim like that and no go into dialog or just hide shows how unserious that company are. Ill gladly mail you my mail attempts if you like. We, SPAMfighter, do not hide anywhere. Out phone number is there and we respond to any contact and ofcouse we do not make malware ! Next thing could be that I make a page about them claiming how unserious they are in their forum, contact possibilites and claiming what ever I want, but thats just stupid and a waste of everybody´s time.

As for editing our page ourself, then if I look at the rules under "There is a problem with the content of the article about my enterprise or the enterprise I represent" is says : If the problem is minor — incorrect spelling or grammar, a wrong date, nonsense, spam, etc. — then feel free to fix it yourself. Minor cleanup is not only acceptable, but encouraged. Be sure to note your changes on the article's Talk page.

After this, there is a bunch of ofter help issues like moving up the subject to the Help Desk which will be the next thing I have to do since I can not live with my product being refered to as a malware. Regards Henrik Sorensen / spamfighter1 / Feb 10th, 2009 / 8:40 AM/ hes@spamfighter.com

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created SPAMfighter, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Spamfighter1", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 20:47, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message. What you say does not make any sense. If somebody has posted something that is factual wrong on about a brand / issue, who better to edit this than a representative of the company ? I agree that the input/edit should not be commercial, but what your "rule" only results in is people hiding who they are instead of showing that the person edits this has real intentions and knowledge about the issue. But hey, if Wikipedia thinks its better that people hide who they are to correct factual issues then this will just contribute to wrongful informations on this site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spamfighter (talkcontribs) 21:42, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
