[edit]Hello, I'm Wgolf. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Kevin Clarke (writer) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the help desk. Thanks. Wgolf (talk) 23:35, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
Repeated editing of page
[edit]With all due respect Mr. Clarke, Wikipedia is neither a promotional platform, nor an excuse to preferentially alter one's own history, for individuals. It is a respository of facts, backed with citations from reputable or legitimate sources. Being the subject of a page does not entitle you to dictate what it does and doesn't have, if the content is not slanderous or libelous. SavageEdit (talk) 09:28, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
Care in editing
[edit]When you edit a page as you did in this edit to Bretton Hall College of Education, please take the time to look at the result and see if it looks right. You missed out the bullet point and the brackets to make the link. I've fixed this, but please check your edits in future. Thanks. PamD 22:21, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Spanishpractice. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Kevin Clarke, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. It appears that all of your edits to Wikipedia have been to the article about yourself. Please read and note the Conflict of interest policy and note that you are strongly discouraged from editing the article about yourself. Thanks. PamD 22:29, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
