Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
(~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
My sandbox
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.Sincerely, Jax 0677 (talk) 23:21, 18 March 2014 (UTC) (Leave me a message)
Linking to other articles[edit]
Just so you know, when you're adding a link to another article, it's not necessary to type underscores between the words and then repeat the same title after a pipe — the links work just fine with spaces between the words, and it's only necessary to use pipetext if you want the title to appear in the body text differently than it does in the title of the article you're linking to. For example, you need to type Hannah Georgas when you're adding a link to the album, because you don't want the disambiguator "(album)" to be visible in the body text — but when you're trying to link to the singer's article you can just type Hannah Georgas instead of Hannah Georgas. Hope that helps a bit. Bearcat (talk) 00:27, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
