If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Electrum (bitcoin wallet), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:

I submit an article and not only is it rejected but I am permanently banned? First of this article is not promoting, and it already exists on the german wikipedia & I used similar format, on the german wikipedia it has been on it for years, [1] second Electrum wallet is one of the most used Bitcoin wallets, more then Bitcoin Core which already has a wiki page as well, third I followed writing the article based on how other crypto currency wallet articles are written. Please unblock me and publish the page for the reasons listed, as this topic is already listed on other language wikipedia for years, and is relevant, this was my first edit on english wiki and to be instant banned is not nice. I try to contribute an already created article on other language wikis to english, with precedent (1. article exist on non english wikipedias, 2. articles exist for other bitcoin wallets, 3. electrum wallet is referred to in other articles) yet am instantly banned, so I am requesting I am unbanned and the article publish as this is not a very good introduction to en.wikipedia. thank you. Decline reason:

You are not "permanently banned", you are indefinitely blocked. That only means that there is no end date on the block and that it will be removed once you demonstrate an understanding of the reasons for the block and convince us they will not recur. Note that the German Wikipedia is a completely separate project from the English Wikipedia, with its own editors and policies. What is acceptable there is not necessarily acceptable here; it is up to the translator to determine if an article on one Wikipedia meets the standards of another. The English Wikipedia tends to be stricter than others. Yes, we have a low tolerance of promotional edits. Here, what you did is considered promotional, you don't have to be actively soliciting customers or selling something. You described the product and its features- Wikipedia articles here must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability. See other stuff exists; other articles existing has no bearing on yours, as those too could be problematic and just not addressed yet, and you would be unaware of that. If you want to use other articles as a model, use those that are classified as good articles. If you have a connection to this topic, that must be disclosed, see conflict of interest and paid editing. You won't be unblocked to edit about this bitcoin wallet at this time, so we will need to know what edits you will make instead. 331dot (talk) 08:25, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I will also notify you of the special rules that exist when editing about crypto/Blockchain so you know for the future. 331dot (talk) 08:25, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Standardt51 (talk) 13:05, 18 July 2024 (UTC) Would I be permissible if I wrote the article according to the rules I see now, and submit it here and if you can have a look then if it is good it can be submitted?[reply]
No, it would not.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:24, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Note that the rules below are a separate issue from your conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 15:41, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I dont understand, so I cannot contribute for what reason? how is wanting to write an article about one of the most used bitcoin wallets that is OPEN SOURCE so anyone can make a conflict of interest? I am not apart of them I just want to contribute, I had other articles for others planned too that this wiki is lacking Standardt51 (talk) 08:53, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
