COI?[edit]

I've got to ask: do you have any sort of conflict of interest in editing the Stark County related pages? The photo you uploaded to Wikimedia Commons feels like it's trying to insinuate that the current curator is trying to profit off of books written by another person. If that's not your intention well... that's how it comes across. It's not very clear or easy to understand at all, which isn't helped by your username "Starkmole", which comes across like you're here to drop some secret information on the history group. I would honestly recommend that if any of that is your intent, that you approach any further SC related editing with extreme caution. Attacks or allegations of any nature have to be handled very carefully on Wikipedia. You must have reliable sourcing to back these things up or otherwise it's libel as far as we're concerned. We have to be careful because one badly worded article or picture can end up with a lawsuit against Wikipedia. We're not a place to post theories or rumors about a group, no matter how true or warranted they may or may not be.

If none of this is your intent, then the unfortunate thing is that this is how it comes across. That's the problem with editing online rather than having things done face to face. It's easy to think that you are being clear or that an image is clear and non-libelous to you, but in reality it comes across like you have an axe to grind against a person or group. That's why it's so very, very important to be very neutral and careful in how you phrase things, even down to your username. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:46, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alert[edit]

User:Starkmole, I call your attention basic Wikipedia policy on WP:NPOV and WP:BLP, which applies to all content in WP, not just to explicitly biographical articles. These two policies in particular are among our most basic principles, and as an administrator I can tell you that we treat them very seriously.

I have accordingly made some edits to some of the articles you have been working on and intend to make others, both in accord to these policies, and in matters of style to avoid over-linking, self-redirects, and repetition. DGG ( talk ) 20:24, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Not a soapbox/Blocked[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used mainly for trolling, disruption or harassment. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
  • I've removed a link to an anti-Stark County Historical Society page. Look, while I admit that I know nothing about what is going on at that place, Wikipedia is not a soapbox for any sort of viewpoint for or against a group. Whatever you're trying to accomplish, this is not the place for that sort of thing. I'm blocking you for because of this. All of your edits were centered around these pages and you've been warned in the past against adding non-NPOV and potentially slanderous/libelous material to Wikipedia. Even if the accusations in the video are true, Wikipedia is not the place to promote any sort of viewpoint or post any sort of expose against the historical society. You were warned against this in the past and you did not seem to have listened to the warning. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:31, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
