Proposed deletion of Diana Barrington

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Diana Barrington, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No demonstration of notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. DurovaCharge! 15:54, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the external link to your site because of the external links policy, but you should also read about conflicts of interest. Posting excerpts from Pigspurt may be a copyright violation and no lengthy quotations would probably also apply. The extract relating to The Exorcist is still confusing, at least to this reader, and needs attention. Apart from all that, welcome to Wikipedia! --Old Moonraker (talk) 20:26, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for fixing the link to the recording so that it bypassed your homepage, but try to keep the edit summaries factual. The material in the text relating to Pigspurt still needs attention, and you obviously have more knowledge of the work than I; the material in the article will need to be balanced, and in proportion to Ken's theatrical achievements. Any more detailed treatment of the book could be dealt with as WP:SS: spun off into a separate piece. --Old Moonraker (talk) 05:47, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Stefancaunter! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 759 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Diana Barrington - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 18:17, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ScaleEngine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 13:40, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at ScaleEngine

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from ScaleEngine. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 21:38, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

April 2012

[edit]

Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 05:07, 7 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It has become apparent that your account only exist for the sole or primary purpose of promoting yourself, your website and your company (ScaleEngine Inc), in apparent violation of Conflict of interest and anti-spam guidelines, so it has been blocked indefinitely. Wikipedia is NOT a "vehicle for advertising" and persistent spammers will also have their websites blacklisted.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/ScaleEngine, a page you created has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13. Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 14:20, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission ScaleEngine

[edit]

Hello Stefancaunter. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled ScaleEngine.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/ScaleEngine}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 19:02, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
