I may reply soon if you can use Japanese. When there is no reply from me within two weeks, please post on ja.user talk. Sorry to put you to the trouble. また、日本人の方はなるべく日本語でお願いします。--Swind

Souichirou Watase

[edit]

Technically the naming policies don't like us using the "ou" spelling, but the naming policies are arbitrary and illogical, and I am much too lazy to move the page now. Adjusted the Dengeki Novel Prize page to match the spelling you used. Thanks for correcting my typos on all those other pages. Doceirias 09:49, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your indication. Forgive me for putting down with Japanese text for confirmation. I'll move the page 'Souichiro Watase' to 'Soichiro Watase' and correct the 'ou' spelling later. 日本語を話されるということで、日本語で失礼します。ご指摘ありがとうございました。ページの移動およびスペルの再修正をさせて頂きます。Swind 10:46, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
電撃小説大賞の修正もほんとにありがとございます。知らない作家の名前の読み方をできるだけ推測しましたが、どうも思ったよりひどかった... Doceirias 18:32, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry if I'm using the wrong terms. As you know, to read kanji is difficult, and I'm no exception. As a matter of fact, I checked on how each kanji should be read by browsing some Japanese websites when I corrected this article. The parts I corrected had not awful error, it had just a little error. So, you shouldn't feel too bad about it, I think. I hope as a native speaker of Japanese that I will be able to work hand-in-hand with you.Swind 20:11, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely appreciate the help. With a lot of novels, I'm one of the few native English speakers reading them, and if I don't know, it stays wrong. Otaro Maijo, for example, has at least one short story title I couldn't figure out, so I had to leave it as ???? Doceirias 21:21, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Probably, '梔鳥' is fictional being or less fashionable word. So we just have to guess the reading. I can read the character '梔'(gardenia) as 'Shi' or 'Kuchinashi', therefore, I think that I have to read the kanji '梔鳥' as 'Kuchinashi dori'.Swind 03:04, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Light novel genres

[edit]

I've been having a discussion with User talk:ChuChu about applying the Shonen and Shōjo genre labels to light novels. In my experience, these words are used with manga, and not with novels, but I'm not 100% sure. Would you be able to comment in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga Doceirias 21:03, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. After I posted on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga, I realized that I had misunderstood the subject matter for a discussion. However, the discussion has already progressed and I was not able to join a discussion. Well, it is difficult for me to participate in a discussion using English. Experience and study are required for me.--Swind 16:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, you said exactly what I was hoping you would say. The discussion was inconclusive, but at least I know I'm right. If you see anyone labeling light novels as shonen or shojo, feel free to tag them with the fact tag. Doceirias 20:31, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your words have reassured me. Thank you! --Swind 15:22, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Translation

[edit]

Actually, I've already forwarded the same quote you translated to Yahoo! Answers days. What you gave me is close the best translation someone in that site gave me, so it's OK. Anyway, どうもありがとう! - 上村七美 | talk 10:05, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A Barnstar for You!

[edit]
Ah, no problem; when I saw the enormous edition, I just had to give you a barnstar. Must have taken you hours. And thanks for pointing out the TOC problem on the page; didn't even notice that; I added the __NOTOC__ to the header for now until I decide how to fit the problem with the how the TOC is viewed.-- 04:19, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just fixed it so the TOC will show; thanks again!-- 04:22, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Translation

I could be of some help translation some stuff from Japanese to English (even though I don't know a lot of Japanese). - Penwhale | Blast him / Follow his steps 01:31, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not good at English, so I acknowledge for you. When you have a problem about Japanese-language, call to me because I could be of some assistance. Thanks!--Swind 13:47, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, no there is no other source. I came across the website when I was researching the Key games; guess I misinterpreted the information. ^^;; -- 03:43, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Has that been confirmed? The author's note in volume six suggested he wasn't sure yet. Doceirias 04:42, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ED6SCbattle.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ED6SCbattle.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:17, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Nanacocard.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Nanacocard.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dai Nippon Printing logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
