Your edits
[edit]Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to Wikipedia as you did at Talk:Symi. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Likewise, editing others' comments on talk pages is regarded as disruptive and may be treated as vandalism. Article talk pages are to be used to discuss improving articles, not to voice opinions about the articles' subjects. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:57, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- If you believe that the article is being misused to promote the organization, there are ways to address that within Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia:Dispute resolution is a good point to start. However, edits like this are not an appropriate way to go about it and are likely only to lead to your being prevented from helping to address the problem. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:54, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Symi `link` section in discussion page
[edit]For some time a link to the `SymiGreece` website has been displayed on this page. I have added one to the similar `Symi Visitor` website, which keeps being removed. The two sites are very similar, both offering further information about Symi, and links that would be useful to those considering a visit to the island. Either both links sould be allowable, or neither. It is unjust that only one should be shown. Symicat (talk) 07:52, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not a site for advertising the Symi Visitor or any other site. The link to SymiGreece has been there for two years and its inclusion was relevant at the time as part of a discussion tat was ongoing then. The user "El Greco" who monitors the Symi Wiki link was happy to leave it, and so should you be. There is no reason for a link here to the Symi Visitor at the moment except for commercial gain, however you are entitled to comment. The reason I have removed the link, TWICE now, is because of where you have placed it. The link does not belong inserted after someone else's unsigned comment and in the middle of a pre-existing discussion. It makes you appear the author of the comment that you place yours after and it also breaks the flow of the previous discussion. You have already been warned about vandalism to the page. If you want to include your text, then do so, but put it at the end of the talk and not insert it in the middle. After this is done, the administrators can decide on whether it should stay, not me.--Symiakos (talk) 10:24, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Shared accounts
[edit]This account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia, as it is a self-professed shared account. This is strictly against Wikipedia's policies; see sharing accounts. I have not blocked the IP addresses involved in editing this. Each individual who has been using this account will need to register a distinct and separate identity. Presuming that the individuals who have been sharing this account are working together towards a common goal, I must ask you to please be careful to plainly identify your connection and not to recruit outsiders with the purpose of swaying consensus. "Meatpuppetry" is also disallowed on Wikipedia.
I hope this will not dissuade the individuals involved from participating in the project. The tone of your conversations about your issues has certainly improved, and I hope that you will continue to civilly discuss your differences under individual accounts.
If you would like to discuss this, you may do so here, as I am watching your talk page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:14, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have unblocked this account with the assumption of good faith on your declaration that it will henceforth be used by one individual only. Please change your password immediately so that anyone who has used this account before will not inadvertently use it again before receiving word. I'm afraid given its history that any indication that it is being used by more than one person is likely to lead to a permanent block. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:33, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions about using Wikipedia. I know there is a steep learning curve. Alternatively, we have two help desks: WP:HELP and Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, the latter of which is (obviously) engineered specifically for new users. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:53, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- He is in agreement now, and I am about to archive the page. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:09, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Good news! Hope this doesn't start again when I upload some photos. Thanks for your patience in this - and I don't envy you!Symicat (talk) 19:22, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- Good luck with your image uploads. Potentially of use to you here will be Wikipedia:Uploading images. If your images are already present online, please be sure that you verify copyright permission. If you own the images, you can do this through donating copyrighted materials. If you don't, the procedure is at requesting copyright permission. If you have any questions about media copyright, we have a special board for that: media copyright questions. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:57, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks again, Moonstruckgirl. And I hope your health continues to improve. Kindest regards, Symicat (talk) 19:59, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Administrator's Noticeboard
[edit]I have raised the question of proper handling of the conflict between you and User:Symiakos at the Administrator's noticeboard for incidents. Until it is archived, the listing can be found here. You are welcome to provide input there that may be helpful in resolving the matter, but please be sure to remain civil and to stay on topic. Conversation there should focus on the best means for Wikipedia to address this matter and should not spill over into any specific issues you may have with the symigreece website. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:05, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
