Template:Infobox_Film[edit]

Since there is no consensus on the status of movie ratings in Template:Infobox_Film, your edits were reverted. There is a rather lengthy discussion about it at Template_talk:Infobox_Film#Re: ratings. There is a template just for movie ratings at Template:Infobox_Film rating. Steven McCrary 17:09, August 23, 2005 (UTC)

Message to all administrators[edit]

I have something which I want to settle it quickly. I have been reading Wikipedia, and when I want to edit something, it says user is blocked. I've NEVER vandalised Wikipedia, you can look at my contributions. And that jinxed IP address, always make me on the block list (not my user but the address). And worse, I've been blocked THREE times for no reason. I cannot stand it, I'm innocent you know. Why would I want to vandalise Wikipedia? Can you do something about the IP address. Please block IP addresses, but it would not affect any INNOCENT user on Wikipedia. This is getting off my nerves.

--I64s (talk)10:48, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I would be very happy, if any administrators who pass by my talk page, to unblock me. As I'm really innocent, I only edit it to give people the correct info not wrong info. Can you all change my IP address. I64s (talk) 12:22, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What can Starhub MaxOnline, my ISP, do for me. It would be weird, and they may be asking, what is Wikipedia all about, and when I tell them everything, they may hang up on me. Just any administrator, please kindly unblock me. Now I can't edit anything on Wikipedia, except this page. I would not vandalise Wikipedia in any form. This is very irritating, but the blocking is 1 000 000 times worse. I can't do anything. Why don't other users get block. Am I that jinxed, it is due to the previous user. Two days ago, blocked, today blocked. I really innocent, if you are sceptical see my contributions and the blocked IP address contributions, Special:Contributions/202.156.6.54. Kindly, unblock me thank you very much :)--I64s (talk) 12:35, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You very much, to which administrator who unblocked me. :) Hope this problem won't come back again. ---I64s (talk) 13:32, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Block again! This is sickening. To whoever IP address is vandalising Wikipedia, sharing the same IP as me. The nicest way to put it is just get out of Wikipedia and all other wiki projects. Innocent Wikipedians can't edit articles thanks to the vandals. Can an administrator unblock me asap. I was half way thru editing an article, and i was blocked. I am blocked the forth time. Thank you, if you unblock me. Look at the previous messages. You can look at my contributions by the blocked IP address and I the innocent user. I64s (talk)14:00, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The fifth time! Can an administrator kindldy unblock me, as I am innocent. Look at the previous messages. I64s (talk) 10:47, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I got the e-mail you sent me. However, you only gave me three part of your IP, which isn't enough information for me to unblock you. Could you send me your full IP? --Ixfd64 11:48, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It is 202.156.6.54. Terenceong1992 12:59, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for me butting in, but that was the exact same IP whiched caused me a string of innocent blocks for weeks on end. Would the admins please advise others against blocking this IP and ruining the day for so many other legitimate users? Thanks! ;)--Huaiwei 13:09, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
And admins please DO NOT block this IP address. I have to wait for hours before I can edit again, or some admin unblocking me. I read something like you should contact your ISP. Everyone is getting the same old problem. Btw Is anyone of this IP 202.156.64 using StarHub MaxOnline. Terenceong1992 13:36, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I am using Maxonline indeed.--Huaiwei 13:45, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I checked the logs, and I was the one who last blocked that IP. However, since it was a shared IP, I blocked it for one hour only. --Ixfd64 20:20, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Not AGAIN! Thanks to that vandal on Wikipedia. Can any administrator please unblock this IP, as innocent users and active contributors are blocked. I64s (talk) 04:32, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: / * ... * / in edit summary[edit]

Please don't include the /* and */ in your edit summaries, it gives the appearance that there is a section with the same name as your edit summary text when there actually isn't. On the other hand, if the wiki software inserts the /* and */ for you in the edit summary, it's fine as it serves to denote which section you edited. Just don't add them into the edit summary yourself, please. :) — Kimchi.sg | Talk 12:34, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I didn't know about not adding this in the first place. Sorry about that. I have stopped since (only today :P) I64s (talk) 13:02, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Life in Singapore[edit]

Hi I64s (talk), I think that the Life in Singapore and Template:Singapore topics templates should be merged together, they basically duplicate each other... what do you think? -- ran (talk) 21:48, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

But there are such things for the United States like Template:United States topics and Template:Life in the United States which also is like a duplicate. You can check it out. :) I64s (talk) 05:22, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Then we should propose these for merging as well. — Kimchi.sg | Talk 22:00, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't post personal attacks on my talk page, or anyone else's[edit]

Comments like the two you posted on my talk page violate Wikipedia's civility and personal attacks policies and guidelines. Your misbehavior is compounded by your reposting of some of those comments elsewhere. You were cautioned about this by another user, quite recently. It is particularly inappropriate for you to make personally derogatory comments about my reporting User:Huaiwei for an undisputed 3RR violation, especially after ArbComm placed that user on (limited) probation for disruptive editing behavior. Your behavior shows a lack of respect for the rights of other Wikipedia editors. Monicasdude 14:10, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to drop by and let you know that my decision was that User:Huaiwei did not need to be blocked and after asked, he stopped reverting. As far as I can tell, he was not blocked at all. Don't let Monicasdude's politicing goad you -- she is not making her case with the continued complaints. .:.Jareth.:. babelfish 14:34, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Jareth, If you're going to follow me around and respond to my comments, I think you should pay a bit more attention to context. User:Huaiwei undeniably broke 3RR. The reason he "stopped reverting" was that I complied with 3RR, leaving him nothing to revert. I think it's inappropriate for you to comment favorably on the conduct of those who refuse to follow Wikipedia policies and unfavorably on the conduct of those who respect them. That's not consistent with the responsibilities of an admin. Monicasdude 15:08, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't know actually, guess it might be a guy. Most people assume I'm male from the nickname, but I'm not :) .:.Jareth.:. babelfish 14:43, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks from Deathphoenix[edit]

Hi Terence,

I just wanted to thank you for supporting me in my RfA. To tell you the truth, I was surprised by all the support I've gotten. I never saw myself as more than an occasional Wiki-hobbyist.

My wife sends her curses, as Wikipedia will likely suck up more of my time. She jokingly (I think) said she was tempted to log on to Wikipedia just to vote Oppose and let everyone know that she didn't want her husband to be an admin.

I'll make sure your trust in me is founded. --Deathphoenix 15:29, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Maps?[edit]

Hi, don't worry about the Andrew Kuan thing, your edit then was correct after all. I myself was brusque sometimes when writing comments in wikipedia, and these had led to misunderstandings. "Vandalism"[edit]

This is the sentence that you reverted with the summary "rvv" (which I believe stands for "revert vandalism") on the Bush page: "The letter "W" which is Bush's middle initial." You changed it back to say "name."

I know it wasn't your intention to "bite" a new user by reverting, and that you were trying to protect the article. I generally try not to call edits "vandalism" unless I'm sure that they couldn't have been written in good faith, which I think is a good strategy.

Enjoy the new year,
