AIV report

Thank you for making a report on the page Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Removing and reporting vandalism is a task vital to the functioning of wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn and report vandalism. Under the policy WP:VAND, Administrators are only able to block users if they have received a final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized since that warning was given. We have not been able to block this user in response to your report because it appears this has not yet occurred in this case. If a user who has not been warned vandalizes a page please ensure they receive the appropriate warning and only report them on AIV if they vandalize again soon after receiving a final warning. You can add information as long as it is verifiable by a reputable source. This can be done citing the source of your information. If you are making a statement, you can cite a source like this.

Example- The new fight can be found on TV.com.[1]

Or if you are adding new fights to the List of Celebrity Deathmatch episodes, if you know of a site that lists later episodes, add the link to the External links section.

I appreciate that you took the time to copy and paste the information from that forum, but that forum isn't a reputable source of information. Infact, it states "I found out on wikipedia that..." and lists matches. Because these matches have since been removed from wikipedia, they clearly were unsourced or fake matches. I can't add them. As I explained, forums are not a reliable source of information. It's not a matter of whether or not I think you're lying. Someone could've easily made up those matches. Review Wikipedia's policy on attribution. Key points to note are:

1) Wikipedia does not publish original research or original thought

Original research refers to material that is not attributable to a reliable, published source. This includes unpublished facts, arguments, ideas, statements, and neologisms; and any unpublished analysis or synthesis of published material that appears to advance a position. Material added to articles must be directly and explicitly supported by the cited sources.

2) Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources

Reliable sources are credible published materials with a reliable publication process; their authors are generally regarded as trustworthy or authoritative in relation to the subject at hand. How reliable a source is depends on context; what is reliable in one topic may not be in another. In general, the most reliable sources are books and journals published by universities; mainstream newspapers; and magazines and journals that are published by known publishing houses. What these have in common is process and approval between document creation and publication. As a rule of thumb, the more people engaged in checking facts, analyzing legal issues, and scrutinizing the writing, the more reliable the publication. Material that is self-published is generally not regarded as reliable, but see below for exceptions. Any unsourced material may be removed, and in biographies of living persons, unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material must be removed immediately.

Your web browser displays the URL near the top. Also, please note that Wikipedia has a strict policy against sock puppets. Editing an article using different anonymous IPs to purposely circumvent warnings and blocks is against Wikipedia policy. No. Search results tell me nothing. Yahoo Answers is no more reliable than a forum. You're missing the point. Link me to a reliable source that specifically says when a match is happening and who is fighting in it. That's it. Anything else doesn't matter. For example, the link to tvguide.com, tells me exactly who's fighting and when, and it's a reliable source. Unless you can provide something similar, it's not a source.

It was from a TV.com forum. The difference is that the information is not from the actual staff of TV.com; it's from posters with as much credible information on the subject as you and me. Furthermore, if you can't find when a match is happening along with who, it doens't belong in the article. List of Celebrity Deathmatch is, as the title suggests, a list of episodes, not arbitrary information. Everything in that article must be within the context of an episode. Then it's not part of an episode yet, and therefore should not be added. Take the vote-in fights for instance. We know they are eventually going to happen, but they are not yet officially announced to take place during a specific episode, so we don't know when they're going to happen. Therefore, we should not add them to the List of Celebrity Deathmatch episode. I feel that patterns and samll trivia are necesary for the article.

Trivia does not belong in an article. Discuss on the talk page before you make trivia or patterns edits, or don't add them at all. I've also archived the trivia for future discussion if you want to integrate it into an encyclopedic section(which you haven't).
