Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, The X Factor (U.S. season 4), has made edits to The X Factor (U.S. TV series) that do not conform to our policies and therefore have been reverted. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask the Help Desk, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome! → Lil-℧niquԐ 1 - { Talk } - 19:28, 2 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "The X Factor (U.S. season 4)", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it matches the name of an organization (television show). If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Peacock (talk) 00:32, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 03:15, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Information icon

Hello The X Factor (U.S. season 4). The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:The X Factor (U.S. season 4). The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=The X Factor (U.S. season 4)|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 03:15, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

block rationale

[edit]

The softerblock rationale is obvious. I also see warnings about unsourced edits, so I will need an affirmation that you will no longer make unsourced edits or edits based on personal knowledge. All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking. I've also issued a PAID notice. Please read and heed the linked information. Based on your user name, I'd say it looks applicable. In any event, you will need a new username. Thanks, -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 03:19, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, The X Factor (U.S. season 4). It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "The X Factor".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. DannyS712 (talk) 08:12, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
