[edit]Please see WP:NOTHOWTO. Also, second-person "you" is generally not encyclopedic style, as in "consider reinsulating your walls and replacing your windows."
The external link you added to Condensation may not be suitable for this encyclopedia. Before adding it again, you might consider opening a topic at Talk:Condensation for other editors' input. Regards, Just plain Bill (talk) 12:12, 30 July 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 15:30, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- @MrOllieMrOllie
- Tell me the part you felt was no appropriate. I added the following lines of information:
- Casement windows are often installed in locations where unobstructed views, effective ventilation, and ease of operation are priorities. They are commonly seen in residential settings, including bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens, where they can be opened to catch breezes and provide ample natural light.
- How is this deemed inappropriate/promotional/spam/illegal? Tell me what made you reverse my edit. Why can you not have a proper discussion first before meddling with people's genuine work and efforts.
- I firmly believe there's no reason whatsoever for anyone to undo this particular edit. If you have objections to this, provide me facts that contradict what I've written above. Thewindowguycanada (talk) 17:17, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- You are obviously spamming links to a window installation company. Just stop, you're not fooling anyone. MrOllie (talk) 17:23, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- So how do you add a cite, Mr. know-it-all? Using this argument, should Wikipedia get rid off all the external links/citations out there? How do you insert links to your edits then? Thewindowguycanada (talk) 17:29, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- Well, you can cite a book, or an academic journal. But not linkspam. I'm not going to debate this with you any further. Consider this a final warning: If I see those links added again (by anyone) you can expect them to be referred to the spam blacklist and/or the spamming accounts blocked. MrOllie (talk) 17:32, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'll keep adding genuine info come what may. You can indulge in this all day all night. I don't care. And you don't warn me. Thewindowguycanada (talk) 17:40, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
