Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (this is a legitimate website of the description of British footballer Thomas York and I have no understanding on how this may violate the Wikipedia terms ) --Thomas Yorkie (talk) 13:41, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages unrelated to work on building the encyclopaedia. You are, of course, very welcome to start making contributions to the encyclopaedia, in line with Wikipedia policies and guidelines if you are interested in doing so, but if your only interest is in writing a personal web page, then there are many web sites which provide that sort of service, but Wikipedia is not one of them. Also, editors who persist with unacceptable editing after being warned may be blocked from editing by Wikipedia administrators. JBW (talk) 14:13, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As a user page, it reads as a personal web page. If it is meant to be an article on a person of legitimate interest, it should be in draft space, heeding policies described in Wikipedia:Notability, especially in the section on verifiable evidence. Reliable sources not only verify that statements are true, but that they are worthy of note. signed, Willondon (talk) 14:21, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. --VVikingTalkEdits 14:21, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. --VVikingTalkEdits 14:43, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for obvious reasons. Thank you for your edit to the article Ed Miliband. Without that edit I might have made the mistake of wasting time deciding whether to give you yet another chance or not, but once you had helped me by doing blatant vandalism, showing that you had no intention of editing constructively, it was obvious what to do. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
