Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello, SomuAtWiki, and welcome to Wikipedia!

An edit that you recently made to Extended periodic table seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox.

Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! February 2020[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Main Page. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Ian.thomson (talk) 12:04, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Google Glass, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 12:19, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?[edit]

If you're looking to experiment with the site, I recommend using the sandbox or taking our tutorial.

We don't randomly bold section titles. We read articles before changing descriptions of links. We don't insert a bunch of empty lines without reason.

Edits like the above give the impression that you're trying to get as high an edit count as soon as possible, which isn't a good sign.

Slow down. Learn how the site works first. Before changing an article, ask yourself why the article is the way it is. Ian.thomson (talk) 12:31, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to improve Wikipedia! SomuAtWiki (talk) 13:50, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If that's the case, the I strongly suggest that you heed the advice you have been given. 331dot (talk) 14:07, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

December 2020[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at American Airlines Flight 11, you may be blocked from editing. David J Johnson (talk) 10:21, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
