Well, we all have to start somewhere - I know I was once at that point. Key things are to make the article's subject's first mention bold, punctuate fully and check your own spelling. Beyond that just enjoy editing!!! I'll keep a watch on your contributions for a while, make sure nothing's unfairly deleted, clean up where needed. Have fun!

I wanna do Groveway, if you start it I'll add to it. Saxon, Brickhill, Childs and Dansteed seem to be the only other notable ones (I've done Grafton and Bletcham, Watling is part of Watling Street and those like Monks and Standing come under A-road articles (e.g. A421 road). I don't know if ones like Ridgeway are notable enough, but maybe. Tom walker 22:23, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Its an idea. Then again, Portway has everything Hazely-Loughton that isn't A509, Tongwell has Broughton-Tonwell. But for now I think Grove, Brickhill, Saxon, Childs and Dansteed. Maybe Chaffron too. Tom walker 16:30, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeh, do that because it is a bit italicy at the moment. Then if you wanna start any of those listed before, do so and I will expand it. Tom walker 16:43, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's good, but I'm being pressured a bit by another user to merge all of these articles into a single grid system article. See the talk page on H6 Childs Way. Tom walker 22:28, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MK

[edit]

Hello... Just to let you know that I've been doing a bit of tidying on the existing MK roads articles - have added more of the A roads to the category, and have made the tables of roundabouts consistent on the pages. It's actually been fairly useful to cross-check as I've been doing it against the List of road junctions in the United Kingdom, as having the lists of junctions geographically allows mistakes in the former to be easily spotted and changed. I have linked each of the junctions tables to this page, as it's the one with the grid refs etc. on it. Regards, C2r 18:02, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

H4

[edit]

It doesn't do any 'harm' but I think it should be merged. Belive me I used to ask this sort of question myself, I used to hate my articles beig deleted. But no what I think we should be aiming for with the grid system is the big article covering everything except for the real biggans (that aren't A roads) - H6, H9, H10, V6, V8. If you want (check the discussion on it first) remove my deletion notice, move the H4 article to H9 Groveway and convert it into that. Tom walker 14:54, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re: [dweeb]

[edit]

You cannot. Brackets are not allowed by the software (see WP:NCTR for more details). You would have to create it at dweeb (band) or something similar. As band articles tend to be deleted fast, I would recommend you review WP:MUSIC so that you ensure you capture enough information to show notability in your first draft. Let me know if you have more questions. -- JLaTondre (talk) 12:32, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:It came from outer space cover.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:It came from outer space cover.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:19, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Dweeb (band)

[edit]

The article Dweeb (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The subject fails to meet the notability standards set in WP:MUSICBIO. Attempts to find sources to help the subject meet standards failed. None of the band's released works seem notable either per WP:NALBUM.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article It Came from Outer Space! has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet WP:NALBUM or WP:GNG. Suggesting deletion rather than redirect, as it's an ambiguous title and likely to lead people to the wrong place. Nothing worth merging, all unreferenced.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
