A user by the handle GaurangaUK is reverting edits that I have made to the Vaishnavism page that are duly cited and appropriate. What may I do? The user has a history of doing this on the page.

removing Dr who1975 from sockpuppets page

Sorry, it appears from the diff that I accidentally overwrote Drwho when I added my open case. I'm please you noticed it quickly and were able to re-instate the case. Thanks for that and sorry again for my error. Timberframe (talk) 12:59, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

You have made a mistake

I am not France A. I have never made the type of vandalising edits France A has made to Doctor Who pages. The edit of mine above was a response to France A vandlising my home page through one of his sockpuppets. You are being overzealous. France A has upset a lot of us. I made a mistake.--Dr who1975 (talk) 14:46, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Why didn't you take a carful look at my user page and edit history. It should be obvious I'm not France A.
  • Has France A or any of his sockpuppets ever shown an interest in The Untied States Congress?
  • Has France A or any of his sockpuppets ever put up a lot of user boxes saying things like they have degrees from FSU, GSU.
  • If you look at the history of my edits, the behavior in no way matches any of France A's behavior. The only thing I have in common with him is an interest in Dr. Who.--Dr who1975 (talk) 14:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Considering the particular's of my situation (i.e. my one and a half years of wikipedia edit history). Why in the heck didn't you attempt to ask me about the edit before jumping to opening a sockpuppetry case? You could've at least given me the opportunity to explain why I made the edit and apologize. A smart wikipedian makes careful judgements before opening a case. One flimsy peice of evidence in the wake of two years of edits is not sufficient.--Dr who1975 (talk) 15:22, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
France A started activity on 13:09, 24 January 2007... my first edit was on 01:30, 17 June 2006. France a wasn't even on the scene when I started my account.--Dr who1975 (talk) 16:03, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

I apologise if (if) I've made a mistake. I considered your glut of userboxes, love for Doctor Who and that nasty edit to his talkpage as characteristic of France a; asking you would have solved nothing. A sock report is a good mechanism because if I'm so obviously wrong, others will support you and not me.--Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 16:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, I understand your reluctance to ask, I've had to deal with outing sockpuppeteers myself (like User:breathtaker). Usually the pattern is with newly opened accounts. I still think you could've asked... never underestimate the possibilty of a valid explanation. Please consider the points I've added to the case. I hope you might even be interested in withdrawing it.--Dr who1975 (talk) 16:37, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your understanding. I won't withdraw it, because nobody has yet commented, and I'd be interested to hear their reactions, but I respect the points you have made.--Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 16:43, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I understand where the confusion lies now. My IP address is not asockpuppet of France A. If you felt so strongly about this how come you never opened a case against my IP address? Please see the notes I added to the case. Sockpuppetry has a very specific pattern to it, I don't fit the pattern. I'm guilty of vandalism in 2 places, once this week and once back in June. It's not even rampant, repeated vandalism. I deserve a warning for that. I would imagine this exchnge would count as one. I will show more patience in the future. I apologize for causing all of this confusion. If you ever need any help in making cases against France A's sockpuppets maybe I can help. I'm really good at citing evidence, just look at the case I made against Breathtaker. The reason I'm offering to help is because I hope to fully convince you I'm not France A. He really pissed me off too... as clearly evidenced from my boneheaded edits.--Dr who1975 (talk) 17:43, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Please don't message me again about this. The report-page is the place for all discussion.--Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 18:04, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Premium Bond

Adding four templates to Premium Bond I think is over the top. It's not a bad entry, yes it could be improved. The original research say see the talk page but you have put nothing there. Iccaldwell (talk) 18:58, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

It scarcely needs it - lookat WP:NOR and see how much of the article is unsourced.--Porcupine (prickle me! · contribs · status) 19:00, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
I agree that it needs more references, but I don't see any original research. The page just needs a refimproveIccaldwell (talk) 19:37, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Your request

Sorry, mulling, not ignoring. I'll be in touch. Feel free to remind me if I don't get back in the next 24h. --Dweller (talk) 17:00, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Your request - part 2

I'm happy to agree to this. After you've done 10 of them, please post me a list of the relevant pages (no need for diffs, I'll search for all your contributions on those pages). Please please please remember to keep cool. You're doing so well... it'd be a shame to start backsliding. And now, please remove the funky template from my talkpage... you're making the natives curious! --Dweller (talk) 22:02, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Empty Child father reference

I noticed the edit war on Blink (Doctor Who). Note that there is an indirect reference in The empty child to the doctor being a father - I have placed the note here. I have also warned both IP's for there comments in the edit summaries. StuartDD contributions 11:03, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Actually I just created a redirect when moving London Fog (beverage) to London Fog (cocktail), but the article that's sprung up over the redirect is clearly a textbook deletion candidate. Happymelon 20:52, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
