Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Concentrating solar power, seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising in articles. For more information on this, see

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Concentrating solar power. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Noting your username, it is inappropriate to add references to material and websites from your own company. Please read WP:COI. Mentions of your own company will need to be sourced to reliable independent third party sources to ensure impartiality and notability. Please engage in discussion on article talk. Mfield (talk) 17:25, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Concentrating solar power, you will be blocked from editing. Mfield (talk) 17:37, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Concentrating solar power. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Mfield (talk) 17:37, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Wuhwuzdat (talk) 17:41, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

alright - hopefully this deleted it Mokenergycorp (talk) 18:02, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I guess I don't know how to remove the hangon -I don't see it in this edit space, but it still appears on the talk: page - ah well.

I give up - you win - or rather you lose - good luck with everything Sponge Bob! lol.

{{hangon}}

I have patents, contracts, and independent confirmation of my work with folks who have mentioned their companies. Boeing Spectrolab division website is referenced. haha - I've said ONLY that I have an interest in ultra-high concetrated PV (5,000x solar intensity and more) I created the field, I'm well suited to talk about it. lol. Does Wilson talk about e'ntendue or Kurtz about CPV? Why can't Mook talk about UH-CPV?

a simple statement - interested in uh-cpv isn't self promotion.

Hi. I have not deleted the userpage, but pending resolution I have redirected it here. The interest is not inappropriate, but in conjunction with a link to what is evidently your commercial website it is a matter of some concern. As our userpage guideline notes, "Advertising or promotion of a business or organization unrelated to Wikipedia (such as purely commercial sites or referral links)" is discouraged. See also our guideline on Spam, which explains that "Adding external links to an article or user page for the purpose of promoting a website or a product is not allowed...." Certainly it can be helpful to discuss your interests on your userpage, but the link to your business does not belong.
I see that you are considering retiring from Wikipedia, here, although you have since edited so perhaps you've changed your mind. Should you decide to remain, please consider choosing a username more consistent with Wikipedia:Username policy. Use of a company or group name as a username is not explicitly prohibited on Wikipedia, but it isn't recommended, and if it seem to be being used to promote the interests of that company may particularly be perceived as a problem. It could result in this account being blocked, if it is perceived that your purpose here is purely promotional.

If you have questions about this, please let me know at my talk page. Alternatively, we have a help desk which is typically manned by volunteers around the clock. You can also ask questions here and paste {{helpme}} (including brackets) next to your question to draw a volunteer to respond. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:55, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Unused0010. You have new messages at Mfield's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

A tag has been placed on Mok Energy Corporation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Mok Energy Corporation and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wuhwuzdat (talk) 18:49, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging

[edit]

If you feel that an article is not right for here, tag it. You have the same privilege as us - none or very few of us are employed by Wikipedia. You think an article is spam, tag it. On the other hand, if the PR dept have asked you to do the article, perhaps you shouldn't be doing it. NPOV - neutral point of view. 'About', not 'by'. That's what should be aimed at. And notability. Stop beefing. Get revising. Peridon (talk) 20:41, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
