Welcome to Wikipedia. I changed the title of the University of Utah Medical Center to University of Utah Hospital after I saw your edits. I also added some notes to the article that say where citation is needed [citation needed]. UteFan16 (talk) 19:07, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

FYI

[edit]

When you site something from the web it is best to do it in the following form:

<ref name="homepage">{{cite web|url=http://www.utah.edu/portal/site/uuhome/|title=University of Utah Homepage|publisher=[[University of Utah]]
|accessdate=2010-03-18}}</ref>

Just put the information in for the source that you are using. It gives more info about he source and if the link no longer works they can see when you accessed it. UteFan16 (talk) 18:51, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guideline to avoid editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. University of Utah Health Care

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:19, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Even if you are unblocked, you are still highly discouraged from editing where you have a conflict of interest (editing articles about your employer or own company). With this in mind, what other articles would you be interested in editing? TNXMan 14:07, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ready when you are

[edit]

I think the article (here) is ready to move, although I note that you have been requested not to edit it as a result of WP:COI. However, once moved, other editors will become aware of it, and may make changes to it, propose changes to it, or even propose it for deletion. I think you should be available to respond, so I am reluctant to move it without knowing when you might be checking in. You haven't added an edit in some time, so you may not be monitoring this article on a regular basis. If you are ready, please post a note at my talk page. I will remove the {{move draft}} template from the article, so someone else doesn't move it before you are ready. If you post a note to me and I don't respond, feel free to put it back.--SPhilbrickT 16:07, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:32, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, UofUHealthCare. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 02:01, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
