Hi. :) First, let me welcome you to Wikipedia. I hope that the template above will be useful to you; I know I made use of the one given to me for quite some time after I first came aboard.
I dropped by because I happened upon the conversation at Talk:List of State Applications for an Article V Convention and thought that I could clarify for you how conversations are formatted on Wikipedia. I can see you've already picked up on the tricks of signing your posts with four tildes and sectioning content. That leaves indentation, which is pretty simple and set out at Help:Introduction to talk pages/Layout. (One thing that description doesn't do, though, is address multiple paragraphs: you have to use the : to indent in front of each paragraph to make clear that all content is yours.) I've fixed the formatting at that conversation so that others will be able to follow along.

Conflict of interest[edit]

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article List of state applications for an Article V Convention, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
