Tom Corser images[edit]

Hello. Whilst it's always great to have useful images added to articles, please take care not to put inappropriate images into them. This addition was reverted as not only was one of them a terrible photo, it was also quite inappropriate for a disambiguation page, which never have images for reasons which should be obvious. And with this edit you hadn't even thought about converting the caption into English! You do seem only to be placing images taken by one photographer. That itself isn't an issue, even if you are that person. But see WP:GALLERY to appreciate that articles on Wikipedia are not repositories of assorted images which do not add to the encyclopaedic nature of the page in question. Instead, we use a Commons notice to flag up that other images exist in a given Category which a user can then click to go to. I don't wish to put you off from adding images to articles - especially as there's currently a push to add photos to articles that are in desperate need of illustration. But I do want to ask you not to overdo it and to consider whether or not one more picture is genuinely a useful addition to an article. If it isn't- simply don't add it. Many thanks Nick Moyes (talk) 15:07, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
