The reason why I edited the English wiki page for the TR-808 is simply because it is not true, according to what I heard from Tadao Kikumoto himself who is the leader of the TR-808 R%D team. The current article is being somewhat mis-interpreted from Japanese peculiar collectivism way of describing things, and thus is complicated to comprehend by most Westerners.

I've been trying to correct the article according to the real story by Tadao himself, which I also uploaded to the RC-808; Re-Create the 808 webpage.

Now, I was requested to show the reliability of the source information, well how about all the media reporting about the RC-808 website? For example the one in Japanese language, from a very well known computer music / synthesizers web media here in Japan; https://www.dtmstation.com/archives/909.html

Hi! Regarding Tadao Kikumoto, outside of Wikipedia... Is there any chance you or anyone else can maybe video interview him? I'm sure a lot of people are interested to hear more about the story of the Mid-O series, from the people who actually designed them. And as far as Wikipedia's editors are concerned, I'm not sure, but I'd imagine they'd be more likely to listen to what he has to say once there's proof that it's him saying it. They tend to want Wikipedia to cite and repeat information, not to introduce it. Just a thought from a random Mid-O series fan! 😊
