April 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm TriiipleThreat. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, House of the Dragon, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:04, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It’s okay, no worries. I was just a little concerned that some character descriptions included huge spoilers such as Aegon’s, for events which the show hasn’t uncovered yet. And also some character descriptions lacked information HBO has already provided. I hope you understand my point and adjust the descriptions to what you think it is most accurate, or keep it as they are because in my eyes, they are informative and spoiler-free. Have a good day! What I’d change: instead of having Aegon mentioned as the person who starts the Dance by challenging Rhaenyra’s claim, although true, it’s a huge spoiler. Instead you could provide the info that he is the first-born child of Viserys and Alicent, so that the people who visit this page know the basics better. Also, Criston is the son of the steward to the Lord of Blackhaven precisely, not to the steward of Blackhaven. Daemon is also King Viserys’ younger brother and a dragonrider which I feel is important to add because even HBO said it. And last but not least since the nicknames for Corlys and Rhaenys were added I feel it would be no big deal to add those of Daemon and Rhaenyra, The Rogue Prince and The Realm’s Delight. And perhaps say Rhaenys is of Targaryen origin, which is again more information which does not include any spoilers. Just my tips on improving the page to the viewers, with keeping it spoiler-free. Sorry if I may have annoyed you by editing it myself, but I just wanted to adjust some things which seemed a little bit off to me. But having told you them I’m sure you can adjust them just as good now. :) VicxTig199 (talk) 20:16, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No problem and thank you for responding. Per WP:SPOILER: "Wikipedia articles may include spoilers and no spoiler warnings". Also as I stated above if you have references from HBO or another reliable source (as it relates to the show) that verifies the content that you wish to add, feel free to re-add it with the proper citation. Thanks again.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:22, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reading the message. For now, since I can’t edit the page until tomorrow, perhaps you could sort out the main details, such as including the fact that Daemon is the younger brother of Viserys and a dragonrider, and also changing Aegon’s description to make it spoiler-free. Thanks in advance! VicxTig199 (talk) 20:24, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I managed somehow to re-edit Daemon and Aegon. But since I can’t add the citations, for Daemon it’s Deadline’s announcement of Matt Smith joining the cast, and for Aegon it’s the same link that’s there currently. All the informations are already made public on official sites. VicxTig199 (talk) 20:44, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For some reasons, to me at least, the citations of Rhaenyra, Alicent, Aegon and Daemon all send me to the announcement of the casting of Viserys. And I didn’t edit that. It needs to be changed to their correct citations as soon as possible. VicxTig199 (talk) 20:46, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, so I have included the reference links for the characters but I don’t know how to make it so that it doesn’t tell me that they aren’t defined. Perhaps you could sort it out. The link does work however. VicxTig199 (talk) 05:55, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I formatted your ref and put it back in the article. I see you are a book reader. Just be careful not to include claims based on your personal knowledge of the source material, that would be considered WP:Original research. Per WP:V, information must be verified through a reliable source. Keep in mind, adaptations often change details from their source. Please do not feel like I am coming down on you. I understand there is a learning curve to properly editing Wikipedia articles. You seem to be doing just fine.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:39, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

300 years[edit]

You need to cite your changes. All reliable sources that I have found say 300 years. Your original research is unacceptable. SL93 (talk) 08:36, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

They might as well say Game of Thrones took place 20 years before Aegon’s Conquest.. VicxTig199 (talk) 08:58, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
