A tag has been placed on Gélise, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Gélise. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Vin pays

[edit]

I have redirected your page to the existing article Vin de pays. It would be better to add to that article rather than create a new parallel one. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:44, 12 March 2008 (UTC) OK, thank you. VivreSansSouci (talk) 11:50, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, but in English, please!

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! There is definitely a need for additional material in WP:WINE articles on French wine, including regions and appellations. I would like to ask you, however, to please write in English and use proper English-language terminology! As an example, SO2 is called sulfur dioxide rather than "anhydride sulfufate" as I had to change in the Vin de pays article, and the English term is grape variety rather than cépage or the very imprecise non-technical term "wine grape", which you both used in the South West France article. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
