Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. A caution on images

[edit]

Hi there! I wanted to let you know I've reverted or removed some of your recent self-made photos, as they did not significantly enhance the articles (i.e. were redundant to, or lower quality than existing images, or in some cases simply the wrong species). Please see Image use policy and the Manual of Style: Images. By all means continue to take and upload high-quality images with educational value to Commons, but be aware that large-scale placement of your own images into articles may be seen as self-promotion. Please let me know if you have questions, and happy editing! --Animalparty! (talk) 21:42, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the guidance! --Wa17gs (talk) 22:07, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Albino alligator: Claude requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a specific animal, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I am glad the article could stay on! (Thanks to User:Shirt58). I perceive a sense of ownership over the article. So I wanted to make sure if I could upload a picture I took of Claude to this "new article"? --Wa17gs (talk) 19:26, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I just got to this. I'm glad it could stay on, too! The whole ownership thing is a mess, empowerment has turned into over-empowerment over articles which leads to demotivate people to contribute. But again, glad it stayed even if it's under a different author than the original :) ~w

Photo "Leafy Seadrgon.jpg"

[edit]

Please note that you have misidentified the species, and the photo will have to be renamed - it is of a weedy seadragon, not a leafy seadragon - another editor has already removed your photo from the leafy seadragon article. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 05:01, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this remark! I did misidentify it, it's a weedy-sea. I will correct it now. --Wa17gs (talk) 19:35, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Mourn (band)

[edit]

Hello Wa17gs,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mourn (band) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Anastasia [Missionedit] (talk) 21:22, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:H4L J4ck4Lex, let me know how may we work on editing together!

P.S.: I'm Spanish descent, too!

--Wa17gs (talk) 21:46, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This was your response.

REPLY: Uh, hello there Wa17gs! :D. Yeah, I'm also of Spanish descent but I can only understand a couple of Spanish words, I'm not that fluent as you think. xD

Well anyway, thanks for responding to my Co-op profile. I just wrote it to see the results, as you can see I'm new here, and I'm testing stuff to see how it works...

Well, recently and currently, I'm focused on editing anime shows and manga. Before I go on to other topics, I must focus first on a single topic, so I started on Anime.

You can help me, if you can show me the ropes on how to code and stuff. That's all I can say. Thanks for taking your time responding :D. --J4ck

PS.: I'm also not good at constructing sentences, well at least you can understand it somehow.

Note: Sorry if this is not the proper place to reply... I don't know where.

Hi, J4ck. You can reach out to me via email to: w.a.g.s.91@hotmail.es.

Hello, Wa17gs

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Dan arndt, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Brett Parson, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dan arndt}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

EcoWatch moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, EcoWatch, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – NJD-DE (talk) 14:13, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've Had It (Podcast) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to I've Had It (Podcast). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BoraVoro (talk) 16:21, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
