Submitted by: SOUTH EAST NORTH WEST ORPHAN’S DEVELOPMENT WORLD WIDE ORGANIZATION (SENWOD) SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSAL SNEWOD hope world wide organization is setting up a project aimed in provision care, support and train of orphan’s children world wide under the age of eighteen. Mission SENWOD was established with a definite purpose to empower and make productive orphans from countries such as: South Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Nepal (the four countries where chosen as a pilot project) thereby ensuring relatively more stable society. Objective SENWOD has effective management to deliver the mission of the organization by empowering orphans in the designated countries through providing proper education, training, provision of nutrition, raising their morale and striving to realize that the target population reaches an age of responsibility becoming productive under the organizations empowerment schemes. The project will be run in four pilot countries Nepal, South Africa, Tanzania, and Ethiopia over the next five years. The project will include: • Building children’s home • Establishing children’s school and youth centre • Skill development and training centre • Scholarship foundation
The project is expected to reach 720 children.
T the project which is viewed as a pilot will emphasize: Enabling children to reach their full potential by providing psychological, material and social support Establishing community based project and coordination structure to ensure sustainability Creating smooth communication and integration among branch offices Careful monitoring, evaluation and recording of activities in each district in order to facilitate replicablity.
1.2 Background of SENWOD world-wide organization involvement in work with AIDS orphans Before SENWOD was officially launched as a Non- Profit Organization entity, it had been helping vulnerable children in, Johannesburg, South Africa. The idea of helping destitute children was initiated by Mr.Awol Nuri the current General Manager of SENWOD together with his team in Johannesburg. From 2006-2008,he had distributed blankets ,clothes, food and other items to street children around Bertrams,Johannesburg.He would buy this items out of his pocket from clothing stores and hand them out .He had helped over two hundred and thirty children. He then was advised by friends to set-up a structured facility or non-profit organization in order to carry out and extend his philanthropic endeavor for vulnerable children.
SECTION 2: OBJECTIVES OF THE SNEWOD COMMUNITIES IN SUPPORT OF AIDS ORPHANS IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR THE FIRST THREE YEARS. SENWOD has pragmatic plans to realize its mission of reducing the misery of the target population. It will deliver its objectives in four pilot countries such as: Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania and Nepal. It has formulated well defined steps to care for 720 children in those countries. SENWOD has already identified 80 orphans from Nepal, 250 orphans from Ethiopia, 250 orphans from Tanzania 140 and 250 from South Africa. SENWOD will run a children’s home as part of its steps, the children’s home will include dormitory bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, medicine room and study rooms. In order to ensure proper medical care, a designated nurse will oversee proper medication is administered and will attend to minor illnesses and non-emergency first aid details. SENWOD will make sure that the environment that will house the children will be kept clean and run at full capacity. Coupled with that SENWOD hope world wide organisation will ensures that all living arrangements are provided, including supplying clothing, toiletries, personal items, beds, bedclothes, transportation costs, school costs and supplies, medical appointments, and medicines.
SENWOD covered the renting cost until now from member’s contribution, the administrative costs, and the total annual budget project plan cost will be covered through donation. We are requesting support from your company towards the cost to fulfill the office infrastructure.
The three years SENWOD implementation Budget plan is attached separately with the proposal.
