Deletionists

I hear ya - don't let 'em get you down. Hopefully one day they will all realize the futility of their goal and they'll all give up. Or maybe Wikipedia as a whole will embrace them, and people like us can stop wasting their time here. Either way, you can always hope for the future.  ;) Take it easy, and hope to see you back soon.  :) BOZ (talk) 13:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

No worries. I'll be back around June I am sure. Web Warlock (talk) 14:59, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Relax in the meantime and focus on more important stuff - I'll let you know when/if anything interesting happens around here.  ;) BOZ (talk) 15:20, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Please reconsider your attitude towards other editors

I am not sure that your attitude towards other editors who do not share your point of view is not appropriate. What sort of a statement is this? I have been used to being brushed off by you on a regular basis, as I can understand that we have had many disagreements, but now you are dismissing the observations and suggestions of other editors as well, I must bring this to your attention after your comments at Talk:Githyanki. As an educationalist, you must receive respect and courtesy for intellectual contributions all the time, even from people who do not agree with your viewpoint. Please consider responding to other editors with opinions different from your own in the same way as you would have them respond to you. I would be grateful if you would set a better example for others to follow.--Gavin Collins (talk) 09:24, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

  • eyebrow* Gavin, please don't be condescending. Webwarlock doesn't have a rather massive RfC regarding his editing behavior like yourself nor -frequent- complaints of incivility and hostility towards editors with a different editing viewpoint. And I'm still waiting for an apology over your false statements about me on the talk page for the Githyanki.Shemeska (talk) 11:42, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Sigh...

I hate to keep on asking you these kinds of things, but you're one of the few people that I know who has lots of references. The best way to deal with the hoo-hah about Generic role-playing game systems is to cite where it was used, e.g. is there some Dragon or White Dwarf (or whatever) that utilizes this terminology in regards to role-playing game systems? (Like maybe they're comparing GURPS and BRP, for example, and talking about generic systems as a class of RPG systems. I think that you put in most of the refs for BRP, so maybe they use "generic" in those White Dwarf reviews.) Hope you're enjoying your break, and that I'm not intruding upon it. --Craw-daddy | T | 12:29, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Ask a way! I was reading some stuff on the train today. So yes I will, and want to, do it! Web Warlock (talk) 21:02, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
I added something but it probably needs wordsmithed a bit. I have more to add. Web Warlock (talk) 22:12, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Mediation

I would like to keep the case from taking on too many participants, especially in an instance like this one where there are clear lines of opinion and a large number of people involved in the broader discussion. Is there someone already party to the case that you feel represents your interests? Vassyana (talk) 12:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

No worries. I was thinking I would serve this better as a observer anyway. I am sure my concerns will be addressed, they are shared by the majority. And plus I feel the editor in question's behavior is such that my input won't really be needed. But thank you for coming by my talk page to let me know! Web Warlock (talk) 12:20, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Happy Independence Day!

Nadia Nyce

A reliable secondary source is needed for claims of accomplishment. The videos themselves are primary sources and I am really skeptical that the ed powers interview establishes that she "achieved success" in the U.S. industry. The only claim that the interview could possibly make is that she was one of the few indian actresses in U.S. porn at the time. Morbidthoughts (talk) 02:01, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

By the way, tough break on Nadia Nyce. :( But if you want something to make you feel better, maybe you could help out with the Gary Gygax GA? BOZ (talk) 02:40, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Fudge cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Fudge cover.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 22:35, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject: Dungeons & Dragons

Hi! I’ve been working on a lot of ‘’Dungeons & Dragons’’ articles lately and saw that you were a member of WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons), and am inviting you to rejoin Wikipedia’s D&D group. I've been hard at work removing tags placed inappropriately on D&D articles, as well as modifying articles to remove tags that were placed legitimately. In addition, I have been compiling related articles together so that the articles are longer, making it easier to remove tags and to have short articles on lesser topics by just putting it into another appropriate article (links to such compiled articles can be found on my userpage). Check out the project here , and ask any questions that you may have here. Thank you for your time. Drilnoth (talk) 21:00, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey there. :) I notice that you've put some work into the "Good Article", Ravenloft (D&D module). On the heels of a successful bid to get Gary Gygax and Wizards of the Coast up to GA status, the Wikiproject D&D members are focusing on the Ravenloft module article, with the goal being to get it a few steps closer to FA status. Feel free to discuss on the article's talk page. BOZ (talk) 04:07, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, man. :) I'm sure the project will be around for some time to come, if things change for you. Whether I will be here or not, who knows. ;) BOZ (talk) 16:11, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Gavin's reverting {{importance}} tags.

And replacing them with {{notability}} tags again. Thought you'd want to know; there's more discussion here. -Drilnoth (talk) 13:56, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

New proposition regarding D&D article notability

Hi! I know that you have recently been active in some Dungeons & Dragons articles, so I thought that I'd point out a new proposition that I made regarding their notability at WT:D&D#A new proposition. Any input on the idea would be much appreciated. Thank you. -Drilnoth (talk) 14:56, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Shadzar

Hi. I just wanted to make sure that you saw new discussion on WT:D&D, where Shadzar has left the WikiProject because of discussion regarding Gavin.collins, although Gavin WAS NOT involved in the discussion itself. I thought you might want to comment. -Drilnoth (talk) 20:36, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

I can't blame him. I am getting pretty sick of Gavin's POV pushing too. Web Warlock (talk) 14:37, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Webwarlock. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding the dispute between the Dungeons & Dragons WikiProject and Gavin.collins. Thank you. --Drilnoth (talk) 14:39, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Gavin.collins RFC/U

Hello. A request for comment on user conduct has recently been filed against Gavin.collins. Since you have been involved in the dispute regarding his disruptive edits, I thought that you would want to know. You can see the RFC/U here. Thank you. -Drilnoth (talk) 21:50, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for endorsing one or more summaries in the RFC. Please note that two proposals have been put forward on how we can move on after the RFC: Casliber's proposal and Randomran's proposal. Please take the time to look over these proposals, and consider endorsing one of them, or writing one of your own. Thanks again for your participation! BOZ (talk) 03:19, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

I'll have a look! Thanks. Web Warlock (talk) 12:31, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Monster_Manual_540x706.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Monster_Manual_540x706.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:09, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I thought I'd ask you if I could copy some of the stuff from your workspace into the mainspace; User:Webwarlock/workspace//WorkTemp2 looks quite a bit better than the current World of Greyhawk Fantasy Game Setting. Barring objection, I'll copy/move/merge the content in 7 days. Thanks! -Drilnoth (talk) 20:40, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Hey. I would love too. But give me a bit to re-read it all over to make sure it is in fact ready to go. BTW I think you are doing a fantastic job here and I have fealt reall bad that I have not been able to get in and help like I used too. Web Warlock (talk) 21:53, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Dwellers of the Forbidden City

Hi! :) I have nominated the article Dwellers of the Forbidden City for Good Article status, as I feel it has undergone significant improvement from the point at which it was almost deleted. Since you were involved with improving the article, and/or sparing it from deletion, I'm inviting you to help out in any way you can to improve the article so that it may join its fellow modules, Ravenloft and Dragons of Despair as a Wikipedia Good Article. :) You may want to place the review page (which may not begin immediately) on your watchlist to keep track of the review process. Fair use rationale for File:ConXRulebookGURPS.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ConXRulebookGURPS.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:45, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:ConXRulebook.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:ConXRulebook.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box.
