[edit]

Hello, I'm Discospinster. I noticed that in this edit to Gary DeMar, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 02:33, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Gary DeMar, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 02:38, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and disruptive editing, as you did at Gary DeMar. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Quinlan (talk) 03:16, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, WikiE2024,
You need to communicate with other editors, not keep reverting edits in this one article. If you persist when this block is over, you will likely be indefinitely blocked. Liz Read! Talk! 00:23, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic edits

[edit]

You seem to be bent on forcing in specific copy on Gary DeMar. While I don't generally have a problem with the spirit of what you're editing, part of the problem is "tone" - what you're adding reads more like marketing copy. Putting in your edit summary that this is how he's "described by his publisher" just solidifies that fact. Please be sure that your tone is encyclopedic/academic instead. See WP:TONE. As noted above, you've already run afoul of other policies such as edit warring, so it may be advisable for you to discuss changes on the article talk page, especially if you're reverted. If you have questions, ask. ButlerBlog (talk) 12:23, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
