Image copyright problem with Image:Rtn1 logo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Rtn1 logo.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:48, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Rodney Howard-Browne. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Your edits included an enormous volume of promotional text taken directly from the Revival Ministries International website, in violation of numerous Wikipedia policies in addition to being a blatant copyright violation. Please study Wikipedia core policies before making further edits. Mike Doughney (talk) 01:01, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. Mike Doughney (talk) 01:58, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

per my comments below --B (talk) 04:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
now explain how that is a violation.. what is your problem with this christian ministry? I will take this as far as I have to. You are Bias and this is not fare. Is it just the ministries that you deny access to?
- Again, please read Wikipedia core policies before continuing to repost this material over and over, and repetitively removing balancing content including links to secular news articles. Wikipedia does not serve as a promotional vehicle for your use however you wish. Besides the copyright issues, this material violates Wikipedia guidelines because, among other reasons, it is written in a promotional tone and is basically incomprehensible to a general audience unfamiliar with evangelical customs and language. It's also apparent that you have a conflict of interest in this matter (see below). Mike Doughney (talk) 02:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Mike your profile says you are an Atheist .. This is the only conflict of interest I see. I will take this as far as I have to to get this to be fare. It is also Ironic for an Atheist to be moderating religion. This has to stop.
- Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors. Also, don't forget to sign your comments using four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of each post. Mike Doughney (talk) 02:43, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Good faith ? are you kidding me? There will be hundreds of complaints about this by this time tomorrow. It is clear why you have done this. So lets just take it a bit higher. You are in the wrong.
- Have you read Wikipedia's official policies and guidelines, also known as five pillars, in particular, the part about neutral point of view? It might save you a bit of heartburn later on if you take time right now, while you are blocked from editing, and read those articles. Mike Doughney (talk) 02:53, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Concerning adding information to this page, please note that Wikipedia uses the GNU Free Documentation License. It is a copyleft licensing agreement (meaning the GFDL runs with the material, derivatives and all) so the material cannot be here on WP and "© Copyright 2008 Revival Ministries International" at [1]. If you would like to have it released to this license please Wikipedia:Contact us. --maclean 01:29, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Apparent conflict of interest
[edit]If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Rodney Howard-Browne, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you.
I've noticed that you've stated that you "work with the ministry" in your edit summary here. This clearly implies that a conflict of interest exists. Mike Doughney (talk) 02:24, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Look just because I asked them for content does not mean I am in there church. I am editing content because no one els was. I would call that working with them not a conflict of interest. You Mike just have a problem with this guy. Dr. Browne.
- Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Your statement that I "have a problem with this guy" indicates that you are assuming my edits are not made in good faith. This is not true, I have exhaustively explained the reasons for my edits, and user maclean (above) has attempted to explain the copyright issue to you, to no avail. Mike Doughney (talk) 02:36, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
More on conflict of interest matter
[edit]I've received a Wikipedia e-mail from Wroughtg, the entirety of which is as follows. I have bolded a few particular words:
who do we have to go to for you to allow us to build this content on RMI? why do you not allow us to edit this subject? Is it personal? how can we get it done if you dont even let us get it started? please stop.This is not right.....
Who are the 'we' and 'us' referred to in this message? Should I assume that some other entity, other than Wroughtg personally, intends to edit this article? What might that entity be?
As for who you go to, there is no one in particular. But if you'd read up on how Wikipedia functions, starting with Wikipedia's core policies, you might know that already. Mike Doughney (talk) 03:46, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello Mike..
I think a lot of people are going to be interested to know that you make a habit to single out Evangelist wiki info as well as having your own sites dedicated to attacking the church. Have faith in your edits? that is what you said right?
www.doughney.com/ is one I am sure will show you are not impartial to religion.
You have no business editing evangelists pages.. I am going to expose your Bias editing..
- The issue has nothing to do with theology. Wikipedia is not free advertising for your ministry or any other company or organization. There are two issues here, both of which prevent us from accepting this content. (1) We do not accept content offered under anything more restrictive than the GNU Free Documentation License. Anything with a restrictive copyright statement is removed on sight. (2) We adhere to a neutral point of view and do not publish press releases. Wikipedia is not a promotional tool. --B (talk) 04:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- I did not say, "have faith in [my] edits." I said, actually, I used a template that says, "we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors." You might want to read up on what the term "good faith" means if that is something that you are unfamiliar with. But before you do that, you might want to check out Wikipedia's core policies. Oh, and as for your insinuation that I "have no business editing evangeilsts pages," please take a look at the top of the main page, where it says, "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit." That is, edit in accordance with those Wikipedia core policies that I again mention that you should get familiar with. And while I'm repeating myself, let me again insist that you "assume good faith in your dealings with other editors," including me. Mike Doughney (talk) 07:05, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Take a look at the contributions of Mike Doughney...., over 90% are targeted at Evangelicle Christians....

You are an idiot. Closed mined uneducated idiot.. Your true face is evident. You obviously have an agenda here to attack Christians and you have proven that by spending all your time judging them.
- Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Mike Doughney (talk) 20:11, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
