License tagging for Image:Black-beauty-01.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Black-beauty-01.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

The description of Commons:File:Brims-n-glassses.jpg doesn't seem to make much sense relative to the photo: "Brims & protective eyewear for spectators". I have no idea what categories to apply. Since it was your photo, I thought you might be able to sort out context. Where is this? What are they watching? What is the nature of any relevant protective eyewear? Does "brims" here just mean the hat brims? - Jmabel | Talk 18:47, 12 July 2009 (UTC) Let me expound on that. In the upper left of the picture is a small blue ball appox 2 inches in diameter weighing about 3 ounces, flying at about 25mph. Brims refers to the baseball caps with brims sticking out above the eyes as sunshade and eyewear refers to sunglasses and other protective gear designed when worn in this context to protect from inadvertent accidental encounters betwixt eye and ball. The spectators are seated on the back wall of a court watching a paddleball game. There is no fence between them and the game.[reply]

File source problem with File:D2 1.JPG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:D2 1.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:27, 9 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 06:27, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Masters-50+BLOCK-08sml2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
