Hi, this is to inform you, that this user vandalised the Dylan page today. As you issued a last warning, I thought you should be made aware of this. Cheers, Lion King 13:04, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi, Jimbo protected this, citing WP:OFFICE, on 1/23. I noticed that you unprotected it on March 5. While I'd normally agree that this is too long for it to have been protected, it's my understanding that only Jimbo or Danny are to lift protections done under WP:OFFICE (which generally means the principal has contacted the WMF with some valid concern about libel or defamation). You might want to place the protection back again; just FYI. · Katefan0(scribble)/poll 22:11, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not exactly sure to be honest. It's listed at WP:PP under WP:OFFICE protections; I seem to remember maybe some discussion about it on the wikien-l list, but could be mistaken. · Katefan0(scribble)/poll 02:30, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Be lucky, Lion King 00:38, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
E-Mail Confirmations
Wikipedia keeps asking me to confirm my e-mail. I have been through the process a few times, the message disappears for a few days, and then it comes back asking me to confirm my e-mail again! I thought that you would be the one to contact since you posted the message about SpamCop. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yendor33 March 10, 2006 17:52 EST
Thanks for the protect on Freemasonry
Can we make sure it doesn't go away until the issue is resolved? I'm pretty sure there's a 3RR (but the rvs are obfuscated) and I know there's a sock issue. MSJapan 16:06, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- Why are blankeet deletions and insertion re-writes by Masonic Editors like MSJapan not considered vandalism? Why is it always when editors who are non-masonic or critical of Freemasonry make edits using the criteria Masonic editors use that there is intervention? Seems like a double standard. I point in particular to the blanket deletion of external links by MSJapan, his lack of edit summaries, and the misleading information he later provides on the talk page. Either Wiki Administration is going to be neutral or it isn't.Keystrokes 16:09, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
(copied from User talk:MSJapan) I've protected this article to stop edit warring. User:Keystrokes has been delisted from AIV, as they don't seem to be making obvious vandalism, and commented on the protection on 3RR Reports. I'm going to recuse myself from determining the possible 3RR breach on this article though, and will revist the protection in a few days if antoher admin has not lifted it. Thanks, xaosflux Talk/CVU 16:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
John oh
I listed this user at administrator intervention for persistent removal of AfD and merge tags. There are sixteen examples of this on the RfC I linked to. Since he has refused to discuss the issue, doesn't this now qualify as obvious vandalism? Feezo (Talk) 06:50, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your well thought out post on John oh's talk page. I daresay it seems to have worked. Feezo (Talk) 11:14, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
]project Open[
Hi, I noticed you were the user to add the Non-alphanumeric characters guidance into the Wikipedia:Naming conventions article. I've been struggling with what to do with a case concerning the name of a software program (and related article). The case is a program named ]project Open[. The article has been titled )Project open(. According to the guidelines in WP:NC, this possibly fits under "page names should not begin with non alpha-numeric (A-Z,0-9) characters used solely for emphasis". To me, it seems like it's worse that it uses decorative characters in the name, especially substitute decorative characters since the square brackets do not work. In addition, it seems inappropriate to use these decorative characters in the opening sentence in the article and throughout the article, as well as links pointing to the article. It looks messy and pretentious, and in English these characters have no meaning but merely reflect the logo they have chosen.
If you have any ideas on what to do with such an article, please let me know. Maybe a change to the style guide would help. There is another case -- the article Oneworld -- in which one of the editors insists the style of the logo be used even in the opening sentence, causing it to appear oneworld. I think some guidance needs to be created on these silly corporate naming conventions. Again, please let me know what you think, as you have had prior experience with the official policy and MoS on naming conventions and titles. -- Renesis13 17:41, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Your welcome
Your welcome. I didn't know of you had missed the two shortcut or were just slow getting to them. But I figured that it wouldn't hurt to tag them for speed delete.--TheFarix (Talk) 03:05, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
im sorry

- \it doesn't say why this ip specifically has just been blocked? It doesn't seem to have an extraordinary history of vandalism, certianly not recent, could people please provide examples of why AOL ranges are being blocked from now on?
For an AOL, the little bit of recent vandalism is all very minor--64.12.116.65 04:01, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Ted Kennedy sprotect
I am of the opinion that the Ted Kennedy article is one of the few (like George W. Bush that needs perpetual sprotection. Keep an eye on it over the next few days now that the sprotect is gone. 95% of the activity on the page will be anon vandalism and reverts. Compare the next few days with the few days prior to the sprotect removal and you'll see what I mean. Thx! --AStanhope 13:00, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Please undelete and userfy this for me to User:Netoholic/Avoid dynamic templates. Several people, especially late in the discussion, mentioned merging this. I'd like a copy for my own records, and to glean anything esle still useful. -- Netoholic @ 16:16, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello Xaosflux, I wanted to move Avraham Marcus Klingberg to Marcus Klingberg per WP:MOSBIO ("the article title should generally be the name by which the subject is most commonly known, the subject's full name should be given in the lead paragraph"), but accidentally moved it to Avraham Klingberg. Can you correct this for me? Regards, gidonb 03:04, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for moving the article! Regards, gidonb 13:02, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Many thanks for blocking this vandal. He/she is now spewing over their own talk page as this is the only page they can now touch. Could you also sprotect the talk page so we don't have to keep reverting the obscenities? Many thanks Gwernol 01:03, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Joshua Blahyi
Hi, I'm wondering why you deleted the article Joshua Blahyi without sending it to AfD, even though the article clearly falls under none of the criteria for speedy deletion, namely that it wasn't patent nonsense, it wasn't a test page or vandalism, it wasn't recreated deleted material, or from a banned user, or very short without context, in a foreign language, or a copyright violation, etc. I don't mean to be rude, but please recreate the article, and, if you feel it doesn't belong on Wikipedia, list it on AfD. Thank you. zafiroblue05 | Talk 05:46, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the explanation, I appreciate it. :) zafiroblue05 | Talk 07:45, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Ferdinand Schupp
You didn't give a reason for deleting the Ferdinand Schupp article. Care to tell me why? --jp3z 16:07, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

CSD note
Claw Your Way to the Top: How to Become the Head of a Major Corporation in Roughly a Week You were correct to remove the copyvio tag in the absence of a supporting cite; my apologies for (carelessly) having tagged it without further comment. Because I'm not altogether sure that it's a copyvio but am sure that the article, for sundry reasons, should be deleted, I am tagging it for deletion. Cordially, Joe 05:36, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Room 213
hi Xaos -- I see you just {{deletedpage}} Room 213 -- you could probably do the same to Room 21three, which was just created. thanks! bikeable (talk) 05:52, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- ...and it's back! but they've recreated it with the speedy tag intact, so they can't have much hope! best, bikeable (talk) 06:00, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Looking for some Wikiadvice
Hi, if I might impose on you, I have a question. I'm keeping an eye on Garden railway and there's been a little friendly back and forward over the link to LSOL.com. I think it probably shouldn't be there because much of the material on that site is only available to paid subscribers. Others think its a useful resource to link to which has good free stuff available too. Both viewpoints have merit and we are a long, long way from needing anything as drastic as the various measures at WP:DR. Do you know of a Wikipedia forum where I can ask questions like this, without invoking a formal mediation or the like. Basically I want to ask wiser heads than mine how to interpret Wiki policy and guidelines. I'd appreciate any advice you can give, if you have the time. Many thanks in advance Gwernol 00:30, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your thoughts on my talk page. Just what I was looking for. I think for now I'll leave the link. There is enough free content at LSOL.com that it adds value. This seems like a good decision in the light of your comments on WP:EL. I may also go the route of adding "subscription site" or similar to the link as you suggested. Many thanks for the sound advice. Gwernol 01:22, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
